On a Secret Food Tour of Montreàl, Beigne Habitude was the final "secret" stop & their Choux donuts were the best thing, hands down, on a tour of the amazing foods of Jean-Talon & Little Italy. I had a honey sunflower cruller & bought the Spicy Mango to go. I'm eating the mango donut now, the next day, & it is STILL amazing. The dough is soft & eggy, the mango adds a little tartness, & heat of the chilies hits a little later. Honestly, though, you could put about anything on their choux dough & it would be delicious. The shop itself is very utilitarian & you can see the donut creations in the making. The next time you go to the market, make a little side trip!
ok best donuts in Montreal? aimed to try one ended up with 3 & a good simple coffee. cute Tim-Hortons-in-the-1960s vibe (in a good way), friendly staff. I want more 😮💨
I discovered this charming donut place right in front of my sister's house after she raved about it following a workout. I watched her & my partner savor these incredible-looking donuts while I sat with my usual gluten-free dessert-crumbly, sandy, & less than satisfying. Lying to myself that it's good- emphasis on lie. I walked in with my partner to pick up donuts for our Saturday dinner. The smell- amazing, to the point where it's kind of unfair. & the atmosphere felt like stepping into a welcoming little donut factory. I couldn't help myself & asked if they had anything gluten-free. When she said not right now but offered to make a special batch just for the next day. I almost cried. Timing is everything- I had a race that following day & the thought of those freshly made gluten-free donuts kept me going, & they truly didn't disappoint. Having good gluten free donuts seems to be a rare commodity so thank you guys a million. Your customer service was fantastic, & you made me feel so included & cared for. It's now something I look forward to every Saturday dinner with my partner & sister. Thank you for making my gluten-free dessert loving heart very happy!
I'm not a dessert fan, but I do appreciate a good donut or a beigne! This is undoubtedly a much more sophisticated item! It's not just fried dough with sprinkles or a glaze. There is something technical in the dough. It's like eating marinated meats that had been cooked well, rather than pouring some sauce on unmarinated protein. It's just a different level! It takes effort, knowledge, skill & just creativity! There's different airiness v doughiness across a range of their offerings. The flavours are so surprisingly good. Sunflower seeds crumbled on a donut? Lime & guava flavoured? Who would have thought? Even seasonal apparently - cherry cola flavour! They were so patient to explain all their different offerings. The smooth creaminess just melts in your mouth. Get a coffee to balance the taste is a good idea. Well done to Rachel & Michael! Yeah - so we bought a lot to try them out. Come on, you know you want to!

These deep fried donuts are super greasy as if the oil was not hot enough. We were excited to try their unique flavors but the oil quantity was too much. Their method might be different from your classic/typical donut shop, but unfortunately their donuts were inedible... quite disappointing
I honestly believe they deserve a Michelin start. Their donuts are masterful. I cannot recommend it enough. Not overrated !!! Makes my life better ever since they open PS: I personally like their old fashion donuts best
Great donuts!! Employees are so nice. Always changing the flavors but everyone I've had has been delicious. Definitely try the chai & the peach Earl grey if you can.
Went for my first visit today & will definitely be back! One of my teenagers & I visited late in the day on a Friday, not sure what to expect. We were very impressed on all levels: great donuts, friendly & warm service, comfortable space. You can tell the people who run the place love what they do. ❤️ We ordered three donuts: a chai latte, a chocolate babka, & a blueberry maple fritter, . All three were fantastic! My 18 year-old loved the chai latte donut, made with an old-fashioned cake base, saying it was "the best donut ever!" & was her favourite of the three. My chocolate babka was a mix of chocolate cake braided with brioche. It was lovely. We split the blueberry maple fritter, a brioche donut that tasted like the best possible caramelized crusty bits of a blueberry pancake with the just the right amount of maple syrup. It was very rich, but perfectly so. It was my favourite. We left very happy & impressed. Just before we left, we were gifted one more donut! I missed the name, but I think it was a lime & guava brioche donut. We saved it for after our dinner & it too was wonderful! The texture of the brioche was perfect & the balance of sweet & acid in the icing was well balanced. The pic was taken back at home. I highly recommend Beigne Habitude & can't wait to bring the rest of my family for another visit!

I knew I was in for an out of world experience when the ground before me tore asunder & a demon erupted from its depths. He commanded: "SATISFY MY SWEET TOOTH OR I WILL END YOUR WORLD". He was looking really suave & something about his aura made me keep my cool & disregard the tortured souls he had weaved into his outfit- after a few questions regarding food intolerances, I took the demon to this donut shop. The staff was really cool, real demon inclusive- answered all our questions & my now demon friend opted for a blueberry fritter. I wasn't worried about the choice (everything is delicious) but I had had this particular fritter before & it allowed me to solve a major global conflict whilst digesting it so, I figured it was perhaps as good as any to stave off the apocalypse. Have you ever seen a handsome demon cry from joy? Well, let me tell you, it's almost as good as these donuts. Five stars!!!!!
I don't even have a sweet tooth but these artisanal donuts converted me 👻 not oily or heavy, & not too sweet. the base brioche donuts taste high quality ingredients & made with love. amazing innovative flavours, the coconut mango chili, hibiscus & lime guava are beyond... their newest flavour old fashion lemon is SO good! excited to taste them all. super friendly owners, affordable good coffee too
I love these donuts! Fresh & fluffly. The flavors are awesome, they change flavors periodically, it's always exciting to see what's coming next. The owners are friendly & easy to chat with, it shows how much they are passionate about their business. The place is located in a lively street, near marché Jean-Talon, it is great to grab a donut & walk around & explore the area.
My first bite of the chocolate babka donut rendered me speechless & I knew I was in trouble. Trouble because I knew that I would be coming back to this place & trying other flavours. The staff were also wonderful. This place is a great addition to the neighbourhood
