These donuts are so greasy! I tried the chocolate babka & the fig & camomile & I couldn't tell if they both just weren't very flavourful, or if I couldn't get over the greasiness of them to actually taste them. Either way I didn't finish either.

The staff were very friendly, & the donuts are very well presented, but the shop is really just a grab-&-go stop. Tries it once, but I probably won't be back.

I was visiting my friend in Montreal on the weekend, & when we walked by the shop on my first day in the city I knew I had to try them. We shared one of the limited edition flavours, apple tamarind. Afterwards, my friend & I agreed that it was one of the best doughnuts we had ever eaten. The next day we went back & shared one of the bluebrry fritters, which were equally as delicious.

The donuts have great texture & flavour, & aren't too sweet. The next day I decided I had to take some back to Toronto with me before I left the city. One of the flavours I bought was the chocolate babka. It was absolutely incredible, & unlike anything I've ever had. The staff was so friendly & helpful. I can't recommend this place enough.

Mais quel endroit incroyable ! Les saveurs sont funky & la texture des beignes est hors de ce monde. Le service est courtois. Ça faisait longtemps que j'attendais de pouvoir essayer la place puisque j'habite loin & c'était à la hauteur de mes attentes !

Montrealers absolutely rave about this place, pitting it against Bernie & Homer's for the city's finest. For people that aren't a fan of the classic, American-style highly sweet dough & usually opt for other pastries, they will love these. They are quality goods with some unique flavors available. I had the babka & Boston creme, I believe. Not my top pick in the city but can certainly see why they get a lot of love here.

Meilleurs beignes en ville.
Touristes de Montréal qui vont au Marché Jean-Talon : c'est un INCONTOURNABLE.
(& pour les montréalais... le café glacé est 1.50$ avec le beigne. Dans la Petite Italie. S't'un deal).

Ps: mes photos de beigne sont poches, trop pressée à le déguster, dsl. Argument de plus pour vérifier mes dires sur place.
