Beigne Habitude is widely considered to offer some of the most exceptional and innovative donuts in Montreal. Customers frequently praise the high-quality, fresh ingredients and the creative, rotating selection of unique flavor combinations, with the mango chili creation often highlighted as a standout favorite. The texture is consistently described as perfect, soft, and airy, while the welcoming staff and cozy, passionate atmosphere enhance the overall experience. Although some find the premium treats slightly expensive, most agree that the artisanal quality and craftsmanship make every visit a worthwhile and memorable indulgence.
Montrealers absolutely rave about this place, pitting it against Bernie & Homer's for the city's finest. For people that aren't a fan of the classic, American-style highly sweet dough & usually opt for other pastries, they will love these. They are quality goods with some unique flavors available. I had the babka & Boston creme, I believe. Not my top pick in the city but can certainly see why they get a lot of love here.
I was visiting my friend in Montreal on the weekend, & when we walked by the shop on my first day in the city I knew I had to try them. We shared one of the limited edition flavours, apple tamarind. Afterwards, my friend & I agreed that it was one of the best doughnuts we had ever eaten. The next day we went back & shared one of the bluebrry fritters, which were equally as delicious.
The donuts have great texture & flavour, & aren't too sweet. The next day I decided I had to take some back to Toronto with me before I left the city. One of the flavours I bought was the chocolate babka. It was absolutely incredible, & unlike anything I've ever had. The staff was so friendly & helpful. I can't recommend this place enough.
We tried the Earl Grey peach doughnut, & it was very, very good. You can tell they are made with good ingredients & tasted unique. The person who served us was very nice too, try it out for sure!
Delicious! Every bite is an experience! A great variety of flavours, I don't know which one's my favourite, they all are! These doughnuts have a great bite, not dry, perfect texture! I will definitely return next time I'm in the area!
So disappointed!
I only bought 2 to try & that's a good thing cuz I didn't even finished them. They're so greasy/oily.
The apple fritter was super greasy I wasn't sure if it was soaked in a syrup or not. It had a good flavour/taste but the grease was too much for me. The roussette dough was eggy, kind of like an uncooked pate a choux & wet like.
Unfortunately these donuts are a big no for me
(2 doughnuts costed $10.75 by the way)
Best donuts (doughnuts) in Montreal, hands down. Fresh, not too sweet & the flavours are so inventive - sunflower & honey (my fave), hibiscus ginger, Earl grey tea, Thai tea. The service is always fast & friendly. This will surely become your favourite spot for a delicious treat.
We ordered the coffee donut & the double chocolate. I was actually very excited however unfortunately, these donuts are not it. Both donuts were EXTREMELY greasy. Neither of them tasted like what they were suppose to--no coffee flavor or chocolate flavor. The coffee donut is somewhat salty, the chocolate is so greasy that its soggy.....both give mostly a taste of oily dough. Great service & atmosphere however likely will never come back.
Guys, do yourself a favor & get these donuts. I've been ordering these before they even became a shop &, let me tell you, these are 100% THE BEST donuts in all of Montreal. Incredible dough, awesome flavors & the people making them are also very chill. Must try
