One of the best Iranian restaurant experiences I've ever had!
The place was spotlessly clean, the food was delicious & served in generous portions.
The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, & welcoming.
Prices were very reasonable for the quality & quantity of the food.
There was also easy parking nearby.
If you're looking for authentic Persian food with a warm & inviting atmosphere, I highly recommend this place!View more

What impressed me the most about the restaurant was its beautiful ambiance - from the lovely paintings on the walls to the elegant decorations & the soft traditional Iranian music playing in the background.
As for the food, I really enjoyed it. It was tasty, the portion sizes were just right, & overall, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5. We ordered kebab Torsh & Koobideh, both of which were well-prepared. The meal came with a choice of salad or soup, & it ended nicely with a cup of tea.
Also, the lady who served our food was very kind & friendly, which made the experience more pleasant.View more

I've eaten at Behesht Restaurant a few times & also ordered takeout once, & overall, I had a good experience. The restaurant has a calm & beautiful atmosphere that my non-Iranian friends really appreciated. The staff are kind & welcoming.
As for the food, the Ghormeh Sabzi has always been high quality & delicious. However, jouje torsh, Fesenjan, & Chelo Mahicheh were excellent on one occasion but not as good on another. I did mention that the jouje torsh was dry & a bit burnt, & they were very respectful & quickly replaced it, which I really appreciated.

Behesht Restaurant in Montreal is a great spot for authentic Iranian cuisine. The food, service, & prices are all excellent, making it a perfect choice for anyone craving Persian flavors. We ordered the Toranj platter for two, which was beautifully presented & came with a generous variety of four kebabs: koobideh (ground beef), chicken koobideh, chicken kebab, & barg kebab. It also included two plates of fragrant saffron rice & a choice of salad or soup, making it a hearty & satisfying meal. To complement our meal, we tried their yogurt with moosir (Persian shallots) & marinated olives, which were absolutely delicious & added a lovely touch of traditional flavors to the experience. The portions were generous, the kebabs were perfectly grilled, & everything was seasoned to perfection. The restaurant has a cozy & welcoming atmosphere, & the service was attentive & friendly throughout. For the quality of the food & the portion sizes, the prices were very reasonable. Behesht is definitely a must-visit for fans of Iranian cuisine or anyone looking to try something new.View more

On a particularly cold night, We found ourselves seeking warmth & comfort at Behesht, an Iranian restaurant that came highly recommended by locals. Nestled away in an unassuming location, this place truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem. The evening began with the Soup of the Day - a hearty Lentil soup that was the perfect remedy for the chill outside. Accompanied by a side of Marinated Olives, the meal started on a high note. The flavors were robust, reminiscent of home-cooked meals that soothe the soul. For the main course, we ordered two plates of Koobideh & Ghormeh Sabzi. The Koobideh, a traditional grilled ground meat dish, was tender & seasoned to perfection. The Ghormeh Sabzi, a fragrant herb stew with tender chunks of meat & beans, was equally delightful. Both dishes were served in generous portions, easily enough to satisfy the appetites of four adults. The pricing at Behesht is reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes & the quality of the food. It's clear that this restaurant prioritizes authenticity & a home-style cooking approach, making it a perfect spot for anyone craving traditional Iranian flavors. I recently dined at Behesht restaurant & had a mixed experience. The restaurant offers a variety of Iranian-style main courses, which were impressive. The menu has several delicious side options, adding to the overall appeal. I tried their kebabs (a combination of different types) which ranged from good to average in taste. The salad was fresh & good, but the rice was a bit disappointing as it wasn't prepared very well. The bread, unfortunately, was not fresh & had a sweet taste that I did not enjoy. (Their olive side dish was my favorite part, well balanced & tasted kind of smooth). I didn't notice ( & didn't ask) any alcoholic beverages, but I saw some people smoking hookah ( outdoor sitting area) The restaurant's ambiance was pleasant with nice decorations, & it was clean. Free parking spaces were available, which was convenient. The servers were polite & nice, but the overall service was slow. Their prices were fine, not expensive, nor cheap. Despite some shortcomings, the overall quality of the food & dining experience was good.View more

Another fantastic celebration at Behest. This is the best Iranian restaurant in Montreal. We just came back from a birthday dinner for my husband. The atmosphere is inviting & the presentation is great (plates are gorgeous) but the best part is the food. The beautifully seasoned, slowly cooked lamb shank is my favourite but everything is delicious at this place. My daughter is vegetarian & she loves all the options here. All meals start with a soup or salad & end with a cup of tea. The service was excellent & they didn't charge us for the cake cutting or the tea to end our meal. I highly recommend this place!View more

We came to this restaurant as everytime we visit Montreal we like to have some Persian food. We saw this restaurant had 4.5 stars so we immediately decided to come to Behesht. The spot itself is very cozy, small but cozy. The inside is designed very nicely giving you a taste of what Iranian restaurants are like. My dish (bakhtiari $50) Others ($20-30) The kabob was pretty tasty however there were a few critiques. The rice had a bit of a smell to it, I'm not sure why.. if it's cheap rice or maybe the way they made it? One of the beef kabobs were completely burnt on the back as well. The chicken was juicy & tender but lacked salt as I had to put salt on my whole dish. The salad & most-mousier (yogurt) was delicious. The service was also OK. Tea was complimentary but they brought the tea with our food dishes still on the table so we tried to stack our plates & make room for the tea. They also forgot to bring our drinks & we had to remind them. One more thing: the bathrooms are very dirty! If the owner or staff sees this I hope it gives them a sign to clean their bathroom.... For these reasons I can only give this place a 3/5View more
