Fresh food, proper portion with fair price. The meat is not so dry not so greasy, it fits my taste well. Many options for meat dishes but also for vegetarians.View more
The best Persian restaurant in Canada! Literally the most beautiful interior design you could imagine! I got tears in my eyes when tried their dishes for the first time! Tasted like home!!!!
You could tell that they use high quality ingredients & the fact that they're always packed makes everything they serve always fresh.
Good job BeheshtView more

Here's a polished review: We recently dined at Behesht in Montreal, & overall, it was a pleasant experience. The quality of the food was acceptable & reasonably priced. We appreciated that both salad or soup were included as complementary starters with the main dishes. The salad was fresh, which set a good tone for the meal. We ordered Koobideh & Chenjeh. While the Koobideh was flavorful, it could have been a bit more tender & juicy. The Chenjeh, on the other hand, was cooked perfectly. The service was prompt, ensuring a smooth dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, with enough tables to accommodate guests comfortably, even during busy hours, without feeling rushed. One of the highlights of the experience was the complementary black tea, which was a great way to end the meal. Additionally, the restaurant went out of its way to allow our friends to bring their own cake for a special occasion. The manager kindly accommodated this request without any extra charges, which was a thoughtful & generous gesture. Overall, Behesht offers a great mix of good food, warm hospitality, & a comfortable atmosphere. We'll definitely consider visiting.View more
This place is their new location at the corner of cavendish & st Jacques. Wonderfully decorated & truly a place of warmth & class. Staff are friendly though some had difficulty speaking & understanding English - though Farci is a staple at this restaurant :) The menu is wide & plated as good or better than in the photos. Pricing is on par with other Persian restaurant of this caliber. Portions were excellent. Freshness & quality are excellent. Review. Salad was fresh, cold & crisp. Dressing was good but nothing special. Lamb shank stew (Baghali Polo with Mahicheh) - not recommended. Portion was on the small side. Meat was rubbery & the flavour was lacking. Something wrong likely how they cooked it as it's supposed to be fall of the bone tender. It could be the cut they used & how they cooked it. The fava bean & dill rice was plentiful but overly seasoned with dill, the beans were hard & not tender, & the rice was very dry. It's likely they prepared the typical rice & then added in the additional ingredient & then over cooked the rice - came with a small piece it tahdeek. Also, insufficient amount of stew / gravy. There was not enough to properly marry with the tough, dry & chewy meat. Chicken kebab (chicken Koobideh). The chicken was cooked perfectly as well as seasoned beautifully. The portion was plentiful & came with perfectly cooked basmati rice that was fluffy & not greasy & came with a small piece it tahdeek. Beef kebab (Koobideh) was perfectly seasoned & cooked. It's was so juicy & fresh like no other restaurant has done to match. As per above, cake with & excellent tasting portions of basmati rice & a piece of tahdeek. Yogurt with Persian shallot dip (Must Moosir) was perfect & balanced with a thick creamy yogurt & excellent on pita or combined with the proteins. Portion was very good & four people can easily share. Eggplant dip (Mirza Ghasemi) was superb! Best in the city for sure. The smokeless was on point & the seasoning was perfectly balanced. It's so good you just want to skip to pita & scoop it out with a utensil. Apparently this is their most ordered appetizer they sell. Portion was excellent & four people can easily share. Dessert. I have included the dessert we had & lack the name of it as it's also not mentioned in the menu. It's essentially layered thin pastry (like a proper French mille feuilles) with cream filling in & around it covered with chopped pistachios. I hope I have recalled this properly. This was such a delicious light & flavourful treat away from the typical Baklawa. The only point here is the price ratio to the portion - either the price is too high for the portion or the portion should be larger as it's no more two to (max) three small forkfuls. We didn't notice & mention of BYOB or the selling of any form of alcohol so plan not to consume here. This being stated, you really don't need the alcohol as the atmosphere, service & food really make you very relaxed & satiated. It's amazing how packed the place was & yet the demeanour of the customers was calm & the volume of the place was comfortable to be able to hear the person accepts the table from you. I mention this as if your like mane people, a restaurant with a more calm & quite atmosphere is actually an attraction especially for the elderly who may have hearing challenged. All in all the place is great & will be returning for certain. As for the 4 star rating, this is solely due to the lamb shank stew. It was just too far from "earning a star" & until this dish is prepared properly I without the star, though a more accurate number for me would be 4.5 stars. This being stated I doubt I would order it again as I would not be sure that the chief or management/ ownership will conclude with the same assessment & instead be quite defensive of their food prep & likely not change a thing. I would welcome peoples feedback on this dish to let me know your experience & hopefully one day this dish will be prepared as it should.View more
I came because of the good comments. I ordered koobide kebab. Unfortunately, it smelled very strongly of onions. The amount of rice was very small & the food smelled of metal because it was served in a metal dish. The salad was dry & not fresh. The waiter was an inexperienced teenage boy, & the chair Very much compared to the size of the restaurant.View more
Had an amazing dinner at Behesht Restaurant in Montreal! The food was absolutely delicious & fresh. The atmosphere was cozy & inviting, & the staff were friendly & attentive. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Persian cuisine.View more
I recently celebrated my birthday at this restaurant & I had the best experience. The staff were super friendly & the ambiance was perfect. Best Persian cuisine in Montreal. It offers variety of starters & main dishes & Kebabs were really fresh & juicy. I highly recommend this place.View more
Unfortunately the foods were awful & non of the family members neither liked it or finished it. All of them were wasted. Jojeh was dry & overcooked, baghalipolo with lamb shanks didn't taste fresh,& etc.View more
Will totally come back! Very welcoming & attentive staff! Food was very nice & fresh, price is so cheap too!View more
One of the nicest & polite staff I've ever seen. The food is fresh & well made next level 👌. I would recommend this place to everyone. Go out & get some now! The price is also reasonable. 👌View more
I recently dined at Behesht restaurant & had a mixed experience. The restaurant offers a variety of Iranian-style main courses, which were impressive. The menu has several delicious side options, adding to the overall appeal. I tried their kebabs (a combination of different types) which ranged from good to average in taste. The salad was fresh & good, but the rice was a bit disappointing as it wasn't prepared very well. The bread, unfortunately, was not fresh & had a sweet taste that I did not enjoy. (Their olive side dish was my favorite part, well balanced & tasted kind of smooth). I didn't notice ( & didn't ask) any alcoholic beverages, but I saw some people smoking hookah ( outdoor sitting area) The restaurant's ambiance was pleasant with nice decorations, & it was clean. Free parking spaces were available, which was convenient. The servers were polite & nice, but the overall service was slow. Their prices were fine, not expensive, nor cheap. Despite some shortcomings, the overall quality of the food & dining experience was good.View more
I dined in for lunch with a friend. They have great portion (we shared a combo, which was a lot for 2 people). They also have nice & fresh non-alcoholic beers. The server was welcoming & made insightful suggestions. The ambience was ok at lunch but I think it would be better at night with the lightning & decorations.View more
Delicious halal Persian food! Meat tastes fresh & plates are very filling. Very nice & spacious restaurant.View more
Very tasty & fresh kabobs, served in nice dishes in a cozy atmosphere. Would definitely go back for more, in future. Also quite a few gluten free options if you talk to the waiting staff. Update: returned after a year during our re-visit of Montreal & super happy again with the quality of the food, ambiance & service.View more
Amazing melt in mouth kebabs & super flavourful rice! We ordered a platter for 2 which had 4 different kebabs, 2 plates of rice, humus & pita & 2 soups. The lentil soup had great balance of ginger & freshness of cilantro! The kebabs were moist & fresh with very prompt service. The meal also came with free Persian tea. The only critique is of the female/ladies washroom which was in a horrible condition & the server asked me to use the men's washroom which was occupied & led to an awkward encounter.View more
I think it was our 3rd or 4th time here in Behesht. As always great & fresh food. Believe me or not, it tastes like the best restaurants in Iran. Also, nice atmosphere & kind behavior. Highly recommended for those interested in Persian or Mediterranean cuisine.View more
Beef & Chicken Kabbab are good & a must try with herbal rice. 1st time we went there it was superb. Kishk beitenjan is quite tasty for an appetizer. 2nd time we were there 6 months later, however, the quality of food seems to have gone down significantly. The meat was not fresh, neither the chicken & tasted v ordinar. I will give it one more chance before I rule it out.View more
We just discovered this restaurant & it was a total surprise! We had the best meat, very tender, fresh & super well seasoned.View more

The ambiance was inviting & comforting! The staff (Mr.Parsa) was incredibly attentive, providing great service throughout the lunch. We ordered a mix grill & a lamb shank, kabobs were tender, lamb shank was tasty, & the rice was well prepared. However, I did not like the coriander seeds on the kabobs & the tahdigh was definitely not fresh!View more
As an Iraninan (persian), I didn't like the restaurant. It's not a high-quality one, as I expected from reviews. The day after we had dinner in Behesht, all of us didn't feel very good. Maybe food was not fresh or something was wrong.View more
Every time we visit Montréal this place is definitely our number one stop for lunch. The food has a really good quality tasty & fresh. Highly recommendedView more
Loved their “gheymeh bademjoon
“ & “kashk e bademjoon”. Very tasty one! Just wished for some fresh/warm bread with some fresh herbs beside “ kashk e bademjoon”!
Good service/atmosphere & free parking. I would defiantly come back here when I am in Montreal.View more
The best Iranian restaurant in Montreal, very fresh & amazing serviceView more
We had the darbari for 3, was served with 3 rice & 3 appetizers either lentil soup which was spot on or salad with hummus which was nice as well. The food was more than enough, very generous portion.
The meat was very fresh & perfectly seasoned. Overall a great environment, the indoor dining is really nice & aesthetically pleasing, outdoor seating was nice too but it lowkey smelled weird.
I’d definitely recommend if someone’s into Persian cuisine or looking to try it out, this is your spot!View more
I had a wonderful experience at this Persian restaurant. The food was delicious, authentic, & fresh. I loved their Kashkobademjan, & kebab Koobideh which was cooked to perfection. The portions were generous & the prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Persian cuisine or wants to try something new & delicious. It was a memorable dining experience for me.View more
