Afficher toutsalmon(36) cheese(26) vegan(20) recommend(20) honey(19) fresh(17) dip(16) sandwiches(15) flavor(15) sandwich(15) saumon(14) fluffy(13)a world in which i can have a world in which i can have these bagels for breakfast every morning is a perfect, very yummy world. the bagels here are definitely a bit more untraditional, in terms of size, texture, & unique flavours like banana & honey, as well as their SCRUMPTIOUS cream cheese selection. i tried their smoked meat STUFFED BAGEL & it was insanely delectable. you can tell they didn't just throw a bunch of ingredients together haphazardly, but that they made sure everything worked well together. the smoked meat had a nice balance of chewy lean & fatty bits, & i really liked how it wasn't overly salty, oily, or overpowering. there was lots of melty cheese mingling with buttery, mushy mashed potatoes, which was super duper comforting. the bagel itself was super hefty, & the outside had a perfect slight crisp while retaining a nice & fluffy & soft doughy bread-like inside. the sesame seeds also sprinkled on top was also a nice touch of flavour. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE CREAM CHEESE THOUGH - it's much creamier &'watery' than your typical thick schmear, but it was soooo good. the sweetness of the honey went so well with that subtle, sharp jalapeno taste & garlicky undertone, & the creamy freshness gave such a nice bright contrast to the hot stuffed bagel filling.
'Daaaaaaamnn'... thats what I said when I bit into their bagels.
Im use to NY bagels but I can honestly say I preferred these.
Not your typical sweet montreal bagel.
Much more airey type of bagel compared to NY.
The lox bagel was garnished with idk what but had a mix & blast of fresh flavors. Id say top 3 lox bagels of my life.
I also tried the Bacon egg & cheese one which there was only 2 left at 1:15PM. So get there before that time if you want the good stuff. The bagel is stuffed with the bacon egg & cheese.
I also tried the poutine special stuffed bagel.
Order of awesomeness. Lox bagel, poutine, then bacon egg & cheese. I expected the BEC to get #2.
Staff was super friendly & amazing.
Latte was flavorful & not bland.
Not so much space inside but who cares if your food is 10/10.
Parking was easy & free on sunday.
A must go if you are in Montreal. Added 1 hr to my ride but so worth it.
I recently visited BBagels with my friend Sarah, who was invited in to taste the menu & shoot content. I came along as the hand model & very willing taste tester.
This is their first winter since opening in April 2025, & the intention behind the place really shows. The space used to be a clothing store before Byron & his family took it over, & now it feels warm & lived-in… with small details that tell a story. The concept started as a pop-up in Pointe-Saint-Charles, & that roots-first energy is still very present.
The bagels themselves are fluffy & filling, with a crisp exterior & a soft interior. They offer both classic options & playful twists like za'atar-crusted or smoked-meat-stuffed bagels. My favorite schmear was the honey garlic jalapeno… sweet on the first bite, then slowly warming, the kind of flavor that keeps you ripping & dipping until there's nothing left. A close second was the scallion & lemon zest, bright & fresh, with just enough tang to cut through the richness.
What stood out most was the care behind the scenes. BBagels takes a very practical zero-waste approach: leftover bagels become homemade chips offered as samples, & a single lemon is fully used across the menu… zest in schmear, juice for homemade lemonade, & the rest folded into marmalade. Nothing feels performative, just thoughtful.
They offer open-faced sandwiches, rip-&-dip bagels, stuffed bagels, & recently added soup. The soup does sell out quickly, so arriving earlier is a good idea. That said, it feels less like a drawback & more like a sign that everything here is made in real time, not mass-produced or rushed.
Byron runs the shop as a true family business, & you'll sometimes see his kids helping out, which adds to the sense of community. By the door, there's also a small notebook where customers can doodle or leave a note, like a casual guest book that quietly reinforces that neighborhood feel.
Not flashy & not trying too hard… just well-made bagels, excellent schmear, & a clear sense of care behind every decision. A place that feels good to support, & even better to eat at.
Excellent quality sandwiches. I had the best smoked salmon bagel sandwich of my life here. I also like the variety of creamcheeses, especially the one with lemon. Really friendly local place doing something differently than St-Viateur. Great customer service & the bagels are always fresh.
The toppings were great but the bagel was pretty bad. It was absolutely not fresh, & hard to bite. When you are a bagel shop, your priority should be providing fresh bagels, right? Also, they won't let you choose the bagel for your sandwich to'balance the taste' & serve it with plain bagel. Why not letting the customer choose what they want to eat? Montreal has enough good bagel places to come back here again.
Such fresh fluffy bagels with very nice taste. The dip went well with them too.
Besides, I loved the service & the staff was so wholesome ☺?
Must try! Best lox bagel of your life. Fresh flavors & fantastic staff.
A must try if you visit Montreal. Fresh, chewy bagels with different flavour options. Service is topnotch. We bought a bunch & they told us on how to warm up to make it always taste fresh.
I am sitting in my car writing this review. This was by far the BEST bagel I have EVER had. My sister & I are visiting Montréal & she just had to have a bagel so of course we were heading to viateur. The line was so ridiculously long, we were like no way & honestly based on the pictures the bagels looked very crunchy. I like a nice soft bagel. I did some searching & found BBagel. The bagel was soo soft & airy. it paired so well with the smoked salmon & fresh toppings to include a very delicious spread. The customer service was exceptional. 5/5 across the board! Please support this business. You will not be disappointed! 💕
i never leave reviews but this was incredible. the open-face smoked salmon sandwich was crafted by gods. savoury spread, fresh toppings, smoky perfection. & the rip & dip honey garlic jalapeno schmear is delicious - can't get enough. Super friendly staff, easy access spot w/ a cool view of local downtown life.
We visited our favourite bagel shop in their brand new, beautiful space
We were very happy to discover that the location is not all that is new! A tempting array of new items, including delicious bagel sandwiches, wowed us immediately, each a delightful combination of fresh ingredients, & each bite a perfect blend of flavors & textures.
You can't go wrong, but our absolute favourite was the smoked salmon sandwich, which was truly incredible, featuring really amazing smoked salmon on their famous homemade schmear.
The atmosphere at this new location remains upbeat, the bagels are as large as ever (because, yes, size still matters), & the creative schmears never disappoint. We highly suggest you try them for yourself ASAP. You'll be as hooked as we are!
Crispy on the outside & ridiculously soft on the inside. These bagels were the highlight of our Montreal trip & also had the sweetest owners. Took the time to explain how their bagel shop functioned & how to order!
Highly recommend checking this place out for some melt in your mouth food (the honey jalapeno spread with the fresh warm bagels- 10/10)
We split sesame bagel with honey jalapeno cream cheese as well as the salmon sandwich. The bagels are so fluffy, warm & soft, perfect for pulling apart. The cream cheese was outstanding. The star really was the salmon bagel sandwich, easily the best bagel I have ever had. The dill, lemon zest & all of toppings were incredible & the salmon was so fresh. The owner was also so kind & excited to share his concept with us. Could not recommend this place enough.
This is my first time in Montreal & I wanted to make sure I tried a bagel before I left. This didn't disappoint. The place is nice & clean, The woman at the counter was very kind, & the salmon bagel sandwich is amazing. The bagel itself is light & fresh. There's a perfect balance between cream cheese, capers, salmon, & fresh herbs. & the lemon zest & drizzle of high quality olive oil add a nice touch. Truly one of the best bagels I've ever had!
