Je n'étais pas revenu depuis la réouverture tant attendue. Carte intelligemment réduite aux classiques de la maison. Les portions sont adaptées à un estomac normal européen, sans doute un peu juste pour l'estomac du grizzly résolument carnassier de la tablée... Nous aurions aimé un choix de bières un peu plus varié, avec de meilleures qualités gustatives. Le choix restant sommes toutes basique. L'ambiance reste bruyante, certainement trop pour apprécier son dîner. En groupe, pourquoi pas, pour un tête à tête, ce sera un yellow flag...View more

I was shocked to receive an ice-cold steak atop my Thai Steak Salad. I was told it was so the lettuce won't wilt. When we order a steak salad, we expect some anyway. Made the steak tought & it had no flavour. Very disappointed. Way too much dressing, too. I know it's a popular place when there are events at Place des Arts so you would think they would lower the music - the people make more than enough noise.View more

J'ai commandé le fish & chips. Le poisson était frais, moelleux, & fondant, & la sauce qui l'accompagnait était très bonne. En revanche, la salade de chou manquait de saveur & n'offrait pas le contraste de goût nécessaire pour équilibrer le plat, ajoutant plutôt un autre élément gras. La panure, quant à elle, déçoit : elle ressemble à une panure industrielle, comme celle de HighLiner, trop uniforme. Un fish & chips classique est généralement difforme & enrobé de bière, ce qui lui confère une texture & un aspect caractéristiques. Cette apparence standardisée de la panure n'est pas un atout. Un point à noter, bien que secondaire, mais qui reste important pour moi : lorsque le restaurant n'est pas rempli & que la salle n'est pas imprégnée des odeurs de cuisine, une odeur de vieux tapis est perceptible aux tables. Ayant un odorat très sensible, cette odeur n'est pas très accueillante. Si j'avais été simplement en couple, j'aurais probablement quitté l'établissement.View more

I recently tried the Big Devil Burger with fries at Baton Rouge Grillhouse in Montreal. The burger was a classic American diner experience-juicy, flavorful, & well-prepared. The fries were crisp & paired well with the meal. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of seating, but it's clear that time has taken its toll. The décor & furniture show signs of wear, giving the place a dated feel. While the food is enjoyable, the ambiance could use a refresh to match the quality of the dishes.View more
