My sister & I went to the Baton Rouge with the rest of my family for their classic ribs. This restaurant's ribs & mashed potatoes never disappoint! What happened to the ribs at Baton Rouge? My cousin once said it was the best ribs he's ever had & that wasn't long ago. Now the ribs are looking kinda thin. I had the ribs & tiger prawns & the prawns were almost bigger than the rack of ribs. Maybe they should get the ribs from Robbie's in Kahnawake.
Everything else is great. Great location, very clean & staff were attentive & friendly. Not sure that makes up for the disappointing ribs though.View more

Went to this Baton Rouge on our way home from a concert in Montreal. I used to work at a Baton Rouge, this one is much better. The ambience is nice, restaurant is huge, booths are spacious. We got the spinach dip, ribs with chicken tenders & crème brulé. Everything was delicious! I got a huge serving of French fries with my ribs. I really enjoyed our server Robert & his honest opinion & expertise.View more

My son, boyfriend & I had diner tonight 15/07. My son loves ribs so he ordered the ribs from the kid's menu, my boyfriend the bavette & I took the spinach dip to share as I'm not a big eater. The ribs were extremely dry, the flavour was ok, they normally use the same bbq sauce, it's good but even that couldn't save the dry, reheated, overcooked ribs. The bavette was pretty good, the piece of meat was cooked medium rare & had chimichurri sauce, definitely not authentic but pretty good for a chain restaurant, it came with mashed potatoes & vegetables which were ok. But the spinach dip with chips was absolutely horrible, the chips were uneatable, extremely stale, when I told the waitress all she said was that they came in a big batch & she could bring me some more of the same big batch. Of course that didn't solve anything as they were just as stale. Having worked with paying customers myself in the past I would have never charged a paying customer or at least offered to change the dish, neither of those were offered & I would definitely not go back. At the price that we pay to eat out, the food could at least be eatable, most of our dishes were still full, except for my boyfriend's so the waitress could definitely tell they were not to our liking. I would not recommend & we will definitely not be going back.View more

2 of my friends ordered ribs today at lunch one with fries the other with a baked potatoes. The one who ordered with fries got a nice tall coleslaw the one who ordered a baked potatoes did not get coleslaw. We asked why & were told that is the way it is. The price is the same. Does that make sense? I don't think so...View more

Used to love coming despite the high prices the food used to be good. Now you pay even higher prices & they give you half the portions they used to. The ribs are now half the size they used to be. We got a very basic chicken burger which had just a finger & a half & a plate with a tiny rack of ribs with 4 shrimps & 2 soft drinks & it came up to 80$ That is pure extortion. Seriously try bravo in Saint-Lazare double the portions & better food for almost half the price!View more

I ordered a Prime Rib medium rare for takeout. Got back to the motel & it was raw, so undercooked it was hard to cut & chew, in the garbage it went. Called to explain to the manager. Matthew, the manager was absolutely outstanding! He couldn't have been nicer or more understanding, huge kudos to him. He offered me a replacement coupon & when I redeemed it, ordering the same thing, the steak was medium with not a trace of pink. I am in from Ontario every 2 weeks, I'll try St-Hubert next time? Addendum: received a phone call from Pierre Nault this morning. He could not have been more helpful, considerate & kind. A bad experience turned into an excellent one, thank you M. NaultView more

Nowhere close to what Baton Rouge was in the early 2000s. They have changed ingredients & the menu to increase profitability & everything tastes like prepackaged or frozen food. The ribs are not at all what they used to be like. They got rid of menu items I loved. Their tenders aren’t coated in batter properly. Save the money & buy their ribs from Costco — they will taste no differentView more

Except for the ribs, the food was ordinary. Lighting is so bad that we all had to pull out our phone flashlights to read the menu. Waiter was speaking in a low voice, we could hardly hear what he was saying. Would not go back.View more
