After realizing our table was broken the staff worked hard to fix the issue. Displacing us a few times. The salad I ordered was huge with the smallest portion of steak.View more
The service was fantastic for my son's 18th birthday. The only disappointment was the Ahi tuna salad I ordered. It has always been my go to when I eat at Baton Rouge. The recipe however, was changed & included green beans & potatoes that were seasoned terribly & in my opinion had no place in the salad. I wish they would return to the old recipe. So much better!View more
My family & I found this restaurant in an online search. It attracted our eye with the variety of foods offered, & it had something everybody could enjoy. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately & sat. Our server came over a few minutes later & asked us for drink selections, & they were received in less than 5 minutes. I ate a hamburger, my wife ordered chicken with rice pilaf, my son had the rack of ribs, & my daughter ordered a salad. Everything came with generous portions & tasted great. My son's ribs fell off the bone, & my burger was perfect. Everything was flavorful & hot upon given to us. I felt the pricing was very fair as the most expensive dinner was my son's ribs at $30, which is very fair for the product served.
Our server was great, the atmosphere was perfect with lower lighting, & it was not loud at all. I enjoyed the fact that it was a casual restaurant, but the staff dressed very nicely & gave outstanding customer service. It made you feel like you were at a higher end establishment with good food, service, & prices. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, it won't disappoint!View more
Thanks! Here's the updated version with the correct name Baton Rouge & still keeping it casual & clear:

I'm visiting Montreal & tried a few restaurants over the past couple of days-most were bland & overpriced. Then I went to Baton Rouge, & it was such a great experience.
I had the chicken tender salad for $22, & it was delicious. The portion was generous, the taste was spot on, & the price felt totally fair. On top of that, the vibe & atmosphere were really nice & comfortable.
Thanks for offering great food at a reasonable price. I'll definitely be coming back!View more
You can't go wrong at this Baton Rouge restaurant. With an extensive menu, from salads to lobster & steak, customers will get excellent quality no matter what is ordered.
But if you want me to recommend something... you can't go wrong with their amazing ribs. They are, by far, the best in the city.
If you decide to sit at the bar, you can enjoy a smaller rib portion, but you can also enjoy their delicious, juicy, fully loaded burger & fries.
Lots of parking & easily accessible by subway.
A great option for good food.View more
Côtes levées secs. Où est ma salade au choux? Je pensais que la salade au choux venait avec le plat. Patate au four froide.
Je suis déçu de mon repas. 30$ pour cette assiette. C'est exagéré.View more
Review for Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar
I was truly impressed by this restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing, & beautifully curated - perfect for enjoying a meal without any rush.
The food? Absolutely excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection - tender, juicy, with a deliciously crisp crust that melted in the mouth. The salad was fresh & crunchy, served with high-quality ingredients & paired perfectly with the main dish.
The sides, like the caramelized onions & sautéed mushrooms, were full of flavor & perfectly balanced. Every detail was thoughtfully executed - from the presentation to the attentive yet discreet service.
Perfect for anyone looking to enjoy something excellent after a long, intense day.
A special thank you to Joyce, who was incredibly kind, polite, & attentive, & to Chef Hawk, who delivered an absolutely perfect steak. Truly top-notch!
Highly recommended!View more
Second time to this location while visiting Montreal. The appetizers of steak tartare & tempura shrimp were 10/10, both delicious! The main course Thai steak salad was just ok... nothing asian tasting about it which was a bit disappointing. The dressing was underwhelming & probably wouldn't order it again. Service was great, food came out fast, & overall another super meal. One small thing id recommend to the restaurant is that they need to turn the music volume down, it was just too loud. I will definitely return to this location when back in Montréal again & would recommend it to anyone!View more
(Burgers)View more
Service courtois. Belle terrasse.View more
Salade défraîchis viande quelque peu difficile à mastiquer. Soupe du jour savoureuse.View more
I used to eat at Baton Rouge quite regularly, but stopped going there about 6 months ago. I almost always ordered the rib steak which came with slaw & a baked potato or fries. It was OK, but they kept raising the prices & when they raised it to $54, I didn't think it was such a good deal anymore. They probably raised the price again since I last ate there. After they did the renovations, they got really pissy about charging me $5 extra for a little extra sour cream on my baked potato beyond the little dab they give you. The manager Jimmy was a total prick, was extremely hostile & rude to me when I complained about the extra charge. I contacted head office the next day because of the rudeness & one of the assistant managers called me & promised me a complimentary steak dinner to apologize & show good will, but I was later contacted by the owner who reneged on that promise. After being subjected to a half hour lecture about why he didn't feel a free steak dinner was warranted, he promised he would "take care of me" next time I came in. After charging me full price PLUS $5 for extra sour cream, he gave me a $25 gift certificate good on my next visit. I went back one final time to use the credit toward a rib dinner which was awful. The "rack & a half" they offer on the menu, was, in reality, a rack & a tiny extra piece (about 1/10 of a rack for $8 extra) & it was overcooked & dry. The place to go is Marven's. I go there 2-3 times a month. They serve up a huge 16 oz rib steak which beats Baton Rouge to hell. It is delicious. In addition they include a huge Caesar salad & home fried potatoes all for $39. The service is amazing & they don't nickel & dime you for a little extra courtesy. Anybody who ever tries a rib steak at Marven's would never even think about returning to Baton Rouge. I don't like being reneged on after a promise had been made & I am done with Baton Rouge.View more
One of the best salads I've ever had! The service was fantastic!! I will definitely come back next time I'm in Montréal.View more
We are regular customers. We were very disappointed with the food quality & service this evening, Sure, it was very busy & staff were overwhelmed. So, solution, bring in more staff on a busy Saturday night. We complained that the two Tuna salads order were not fresh. Tuna smelled raunchy & was not edible. Manager came over & basically told us to stuff it, that we didn't know what we were talking about. Very poor form!!! Hopefully, they will get it together. We remember the times when service & food were great,View more
I went here for dinner on a Friday night with one other person. Despite us not making a reservation, it was a pretty short wait. We got a garden salad appetizer, which was quite nice, & then we got a burger & steak. The burger was quite good, & she really liked the steak, although I thought it was just okay. We shared a crème brûlée for dessert which was very nice!View more
An enjoyable evening. Service was good, however, we received 4 meals than had to wait 5 minutes for the 5th meal then unfortunately another 5 minutes for a cold salad with seared tuna. The salad should have arrived first, since it is cold.
