My family & I found this restaurant in an online search. It attracted our eye with the variety of foods offered, & it had something everybody could enjoy. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately & sat. Our server came over a few minutes later & asked us for drink selections, & they were received in less than 5 minutes. I ate a hamburger, my wife ordered chicken with rice pilaf, my son had the rack of ribs, & my daughter ordered a salad. Everything came with generous portions & tasted great. My son's ribs fell off the bone, & my burger was perfect. Everything was flavorful & hot upon given to us. I felt the pricing was very fair as the most expensive dinner was my son's ribs at $30, which is very fair for the product served.
Our server was great, the atmosphere was perfect with lower lighting, & it was not loud at all. I enjoyed the fact that it was a casual restaurant, but the staff dressed very nicely & gave outstanding customer service. It made you feel like you were at a higher end establishment with good food, service, & prices. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, it won't disappoint!View more

The service was absolutely outstanding-truly one of the best we've ever had anywhere! I believe our server's name was Sam, & he went above & beyond to make our visit special. The drinks & food were both delicious, & the atmosphere was vibrant & welcoming. We can't recommend this place highly enough. I came last night to baton rouge with my hockey team ( 12 guys ) & we were lucky enough to get a table in the bar section even though the restaurant was packed.
We were served by sarah, who did a fantastic job serving all of us & getting all our orders spot on ! ( Chapeau to her ! )Great service, friendly & a great smile! Food was good & didnt wait long at all. Would recommend this restaurant to any & everyone !View more

You can't go wrong at this Baton Rouge restaurant. With an extensive menu, from salads to lobster & steak, customers will get excellent quality no matter what is ordered.
But if you want me to recommend something... you can't go wrong with their amazing ribs. They are, by far, the best in the city.
If you decide to sit at the bar, you can enjoy a smaller rib portion, but you can also enjoy their delicious, juicy, fully loaded burger & fries.
Lots of parking & easily accessible by subway.

We came to Bâton Rouge for dinner & overall had a great experience. The atmosphere was cozy & welcoming, & the staff were attentive throughout the evening.
The standout, as always, was the ribs-still incredibly delicious. Tender, juicy, & packed with smoky flavor, they never disappoint. At just $29 for a full rib dinner, the value is excellent, especially considering the quality & portion size.
One thing that left a bit of a sour note: they had a happy hour drink special, but it only applies if you physically walk over & drink at the bar. If you order the exact same drink from your dinner table, the price jumps back to regular. It doesn't make much sense & honestly feels a bit unfair to seated guests.
That aside, the food quality & service make this a spot I'd still recommend-especially if you're here for the ribs.View more

Very mediocre! Been in Baton Rouge for the second time, tried their filet mignon & New Yorker steak. Both times I was underwhelmed. Can't say it was terrible but it wasn't good. Wouldn't recommend it for vegetarians as well, my friend couldn't find many options & they removed vegetarian burger. Overall, the place is very loud, doesn't feel like a restaurant more like a pub.View more

Feels like little bit expensive if you take something fancy but the food is great & surprisingly fast. Portions are big. So overall after you are done with food the price impression starts to seems fair :) Service is great & completely bilingual, toilets are clean, & their care about kids is really sweet. We'll definitely come again. & again. & recommend this place to friends.View more

Second time to this location while visiting Montreal. The appetizers of steak tartare & tempura shrimp were 10/10, both delicious! The main course Thai steak salad was just ok... nothing asian tasting about it which was a bit disappointing. The dressing was underwhelming & probably wouldn't order it again. Service was great, food came out fast, & overall another super meal. One small thing id recommend to the restaurant is that they need to turn the music volume down, it was just too loud. I will definitely return to this location when back in Montréal again & would recommend it to anyone!View more

I'm writing this review not only about one time I've been there but two times I was there. Just from the first sentence you should consider this place when visiting Montréal or even if you're a resident. The reason is that when I'm on vacation I don't like going to the same restaurant twice because I've already been there & I prefer to find another place to explore more. Which brings me to the review itself. The staff at Bâton Rouge is really kind & understanding. They make sure to understand exactly what you want instead of assuming & ordering something you don't want. The reason I say this is because in a couple places I've been the server wasn't very kind & assumed our orders. But now onto the food. The first time I went I got myself their standard burger which I believe was named "Bâton Rouge Burger" but I could be wrong, I asked for no bacon on it because I've had a few bad experiences with bacon burgers. But bacon or no bacon I think the burger was amazing, honestly it was like an actual burger not like those from ©McDonalds or any other burger place. The second time I had a Ribeye steak & let me tell you, it was great. The steak was done medium well & turned out perfect with a hint of pink in the middle just as I expected, the surface was also dark brown just as it's supposed to be. I recommend getting the Ribeye when coming, they really care about what the quality of the food is. I really enjoyed my time at Bâton Rouge & I will definitely be coming back. Thank you!View more

Everything was good. Not fantastic. The potato was very small & the beef in the beef dip a little fatty. The chips with the spinach dip were home made & delicious. The dip was very good too. I am not sure it every was worth the price but it was enjoyable. I would recommend eating in the restaurant & not doing take out though.View more

I've been to this location a few times & the food has always been enjoyable (tgis time included). I would recommend for a date night or a small family dinner. However, I would not recommend for a large group reservation. Was there for this sort of event recently & our tables were not ready on time. This happens & is understandable, but the front entrance where we were asked to wait was overcrowded, not just with our group, but several other customers (it was quite overwhelming). Finally we spoke up, as the person we were celebrating that day had a mobility issue & it was important that we got them comfortable...however they could still only sit a portion of us & others had to stand hovering around the tables. When everyone was seated, orders took long to be taken & to roll out. Not one of the 4 children were offered their ice cream included in their meals. One table chose not to have dessert or coffee, so it was just assumed that no one else did, so our table was not offered anything & bills were just brought out. I still asked if I could have a cheesecake to go, but was brought it on a plate & not in a to-go box, despite the fact that everyone was clearly leaving at this point. I feel mishaps can occur morr easily during big group events & that is just how it is sometimes, but it just doesn't give me the urge to have another big celebration there.View more

This place gets filled up pretty fast which unfortunately slows down the speed of service, but not the quality of it. The food is good, ribs are their go-to, but their spinach dip is pretty decent as well as their salmon tartare. I also would say to ask for your fries to be extra crispy if you are ordering them as a side.
