I've been there twice both times the food was good & tasty but the the service wasn't good, it was very slow. I hope they look into it that would help to get better.
C'est la première fois qu'on vient ici ma soeur & moi. Nous voulions aller au september café mais il y avait trop de gens alors nous sommes venu ici. Nous sommes arriver vers 13h47 & vers 14h40 nous avons reçu nos plats. J'ai commander un déjeuner libanais j'ai spécifier sans bacon & l'assiette est arriver avec... Ma soeur a son assiette pendant que moi j'attend mon assiette. Elle a pris toast avocado. Son assiette a dû refroidir à cause de l'attente. Très déçu quand même mais le serveur nous a dis qu'il enlèverais les boissons de la facture. L'attente est très longue. En plus, des gens qui était arriver après nous avait reçu la nourriture. Mon assiette était pas si bonne que ça au final les saucisses manquait de goût , les oeufs en dirais qu'il était mal cuit , les fèves bof mais le pain excellant. Ma soeur son assiette elle a tout adorer par contre

Went there for breakfast..had pancakes ..they were good but too sweet ..we ordered fruits on the side & they were not fresh ..I find it overpriced..could be a bit more clean the place ...the mirrors looked very dirty & the sofa as well ..
L'originalité du menu combiné avec la fraîcheur des produits rend ce resto un incontournable du déjeuner à Montréal. Avec ses accents méditerranéens, libanais plus précisément, on se retrouve à faire un voyage gustatif! Les pancakes au matcha sont absolument délicieuses, avec son sirop au chocolat blanc. Dents sucrées seront comblées. Les tartines aux champignons sont excellentes, les saveurs font honneur aux produits. Aussi, meilleures patates déjeuner du Québec!!!! Notre serveuse a été absolument fantastique, ce qui a rendu l'expérience encore plus exceptionnelle.
I recently revisited this establishment after a positive experience last year when I ordered the Gaufre Farcie au Halloumi avec Poulet. On my previous visit, the dish featured delicious sweet potato waffles with cheese in the center, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Naturally, I expected the same this time, but to my disappointment, the menu had changed, & the price had increased significantly. What I received instead was a regular waffle with chicken, which was underwhelming at best. For the same price, I could have easily gone to another breakfast spot nearby & received better quality food. The flavors were bland & did not remotely compare to the original dish I had previously enjoyed. Furthermore, I noticed that when ordering online, the price for the same dish is even higher. I fail to see what justifies this increase-there was nothing special about the regular waffle with a meager portion of chicken & eggs that I was served. To add to the frustration, the restaurant's website still shows the dish with the original, correct waffle, which is misleading & only adds to my disappointment. The quality of the food has noticeably declined, & the changes to the dish are baffling. What was once an exceptional meal is now a subpar offering at an inflated price. This establishment needs to reassess its menu, pricing, & overall quality if it hopes to retain customers.
One of my go-to places for brunch! Unique menu with delicious food & they accommodate to a lot of dietary restrictions which is perfect when going as a group so that everyone can find something they want to & can eat!
The matcha pancakes are buttery & fluffy an absolute delight! I even recommend it for people who aren't fans of white chocolate, the combo is truly a hit!
I recently dined at Barleys & enjoyed a wonderful meal, including the gauffre with ricotta & blueberry, eggs, potatoes, & an espresso. The food was fresh & flavorful. While the service was a bit slow due to the restaurant being packed, our waitress Maria was incredibly friendly & patient.

First time at your restaurant, food was fresh, warm & delicious, even though we waited almost 45min before receiving our halloumi dishes. Our iced coffees were great too! Thank you Dana for your smile & efficient service 💗

Barley is always delicious. I love this brunch spot & I love even more that it is one of the only ones on Notre Dame that you can make a reservation. The vibe of this place is great & every menu item I've liked. I think what I ordered this time around was my favorite since it was so flavourful & filling. The service was okay, it could have been better. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Barley, I will definitely be back
After standing in line for a long time, it took them one hour & a half to serve our plates (avocado toast & pancakes). To compensate, they didn't charge us half of the bill, so that was nice, at least. However, it wasn't a good experience overall. The avocado & toast option wasn't good (the chickpeas were too hard, not edible)
The matcha pancakes that I got was pretty good, I only came here for that because I saw a TikTok on it. I would get it again if I come back to Montreal since I'm not from there. But my friend got the chicken & waffles & it was ok, not the best. The chicken was too crispy that it was kinda hard to eat & the waffles was too fluffy that it was hard to swallow. Service was questionable, as when we walked in, they said there was a group of 13 about to come & denied us a table without reservation. After like 3 minutes, they came back outside because we were still there & said they had 2 tables open for 2. We went in & there were many tables open.
Heureusement que la nourriture est bonne, car le service est certainement l'un des plus lents que j'ai connu à Montréal depuis longtemps. Nous avons dû demander deux fois si nous pouvions commander, attendu plus de 55 minutes pour recevoir nos plats, & environ 20 minutes pour un café. TL;DR Une chance que la musique & la nourriture sont bonnes, car le service laisse vraiment à désirer!
