Nous avons dû demander deux fois si nous pouvions commander, attendu plus de 55 minutes pour recevoir nos plats, & environ 20 minutes pour un café. TL;DR Une chance que la musique & la nourriture sont bonnes, car le service laisse vraiment à désirer!
Pretty expensive food, bad service, restaurant was not full however one section was "closed" & we were not able to sit there. But after we chose a place, people start sitting in the "closed" section. I wanted to order an item from the menu but it was not available anymore.
I used to go every week for their sweet potato waffles, since they've changed the recipe to regular I haven't enjoyed it would go back if they put the waffles back on the menu.
My girlfriend & I decided to go here for brunch. We both love the matcha pancakes & have had it for takeout loads of times, so we decided to sit in this time around. Unfortunately, we had a pretty bad experience & don't know if we'll be back anytime soon. My meal was slightly cold, which didn't really bother me at first. But after asking for our check, we ended up waiting another half hour or so - the two waitress we asked honestly couldn't care less about us. This was a shame as we enjoy their food. Bummer.
Bonjour, Deuxième fois que je viens à Barley. Le coin est mignon, mais pourrait être travailler à certains endroits, comme les toilettes qui sont à désirer... Je m'attendais à avoir des bleuets fraîches & non des bleuets cuites/ réchauffés avec mes gaufres aujourd'hui. Ce n'est pas une adresse que je ne recommanderais pas, mais elle ne fait pas partie de mes préférés.
amazing food, setting & ambience. Youssef our server was just amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough.
I used to go there all the time for the sweet potato waffles which were excellent & very unique. They've since been removed from the menu. They also removed most of their'bols'. Score used to be much higher.
Les nouvelles toasts avocats & champignons sont une grosse déception , le pain est mou & n'est pas croustillant comparé aux anciens pains Nous avions commandé 2 espressos allongés, 30 minutes d'attentes, nous avions finis notre nourriture & les cafés n'étaient pas encore arrivés. La serveuse ne s'est même pas excusé & nous donne de l'attitude lorsqu'on demande d'enlever les cafés de nos factures Ça fait plus de 2 ans que je vais à ce resto & aujourd'hui était une très mauvaise expérience. Je suis septique d'y retourne
Food was good , service was slow & waiter didn't want to be there . I would want to come back again .
Hands down one of the best meals I've had in a long time ♥️. The matcha pancakes & the halloumi platter were delicious, beautifully presented, & perfectly balanced!! The service was also just lovely & I'm so glad we could have real Lebanese food!
The matcha pancakes... eh, I wasn't too crazy about it. They were ALRIGHT taste wise (maybe i expected more of a sweet flavor). I'm glad i got a good portion. However, the bar table was field of white dusts 🥲 I'd recommend to be careful about it, especially with the glasses absorbing dusts Other than that, pretty looking restaurant. & thank you to Youssef for serving me :)
Went few times already, it was always great service wise & food was good. Unfortunately I went recently & food's quality went down, pretty down... The old avocado toast was outstanding, the new one is pretty classic & « boring ». The chicken change on the chicken waffle. Feel like they don't own their hype anymore
I always go to try new chef's creations, like the Dulce de leche pancakes or the avo toast. It is just delicious! I always ask for his recommendation & he never disappoints. Chef PP knows his way around the cuisine!
Went to have brunch in a spot that locals where raving about, but had a huge line up. Ended up walking down the block & popping in Barley with a friend. Great atmosphere, i had the avocado toast it was great. Portion is ok, not generous. Coffee was standrad. Friend had the halloumi plate, they spent the whole day raving about it. If you are in the Atwater area & want to grab a bite, you should give this place a shoot.
