I've eaten everywhere from Michelin starred dining rooms to hidden neighbourhood gems, family run holes in the wall, & Bourdain recommended resturaunts. Barley is genuinely one of the most memorable restaurant experiences I've had.

From the moment I walked in, Youssef greeted me personally, & the hospitality immediately stood out. You don't just feel welcomed here, you feel taken care of. The ambience is warm, lively, & incredibly well thought out.

& the food? Exceptional. Beautifully executed, balanced, & clearly made with intention. Nothing feels forced or pretentious; it's simply really really good cooking.

I've been to restaurants with Michelin stars & far bigger reputations that didn't leave the impression Barley did.

The fact that I somehow hadn't discovered this place sooner is almost embarrassing.

If you're searching'Barley reviews' before deciding whether to book, stop searching. Book the table. You'll understand why the second you walk through the door.

IVe never eaten here but today at 8:30pm Saturday August 22 there was baby mouses beside the window inside the restaurant running behind the seats… we could see it walking on the sidewalk from outside… just fyi for the restaurant to fix it… it was where the beige seat in the corner & the red thing & it left In the hole on the right ….

Our server didn't check up on us once, & when we asked him a question, he simply just ignored us & walked away. It also took almost an hour for just two French toasts when it wasn't even busy. Horrible service with overpriced brunch.

Food was good, service took an eternity. Waited 70 minutes to get our food. They also said we would get seated after 45 minutes & that turned into an hour & a half. Severely understaffed.

I had the matcha pancakes, while my friend got the crème brûlée French toast, & both dishes were amazing! I also had a strawberry matcha (equally delicious). The atmosphere was very relaxing. I would definitely come here again!

Service rapide, un des meilleurs cafés de ma vie & tout les ingrédients sont maison. Seul bémol pour certains, le menu est petit (environ 10 repas), mais on remarque la maîtrise de chaques repas. Un incontournable!
