Honestly, a very solid spot. The terrace vibe was absolutely sublime-perfect for a relaxed evening out. The food was consistently great across the board, but the focaccia really stood out-fresh, fluffy, & full of flavor.
I'd highly recommend this place. It feels like a true hidden gem in Montreal, with the right balance of atmosphere, quality food, & friendly service. Definitely worth a visit.View more

Barbara had a really nice ambiance-cozy & welcoming with a stylish touch. The food was delicious & beautifully presented. It did feel a little overpriced for the portion sizes, but overall it was worth the experience. The focaccia is a must-so fresh & flavorful, it alone is reason enough to go back!View more

Is hipster enough for first dates. Goofy for second or third dates. +food tastes good (yumm) +food is fresh +candles(real ones, not electric) +waitress was stellar✨✨✨✨✨ +place was clean +chairs are cozy +bathrooms are real clean +easy to find -idk if they steam their soy or oat milk because latte was cold -prices for food are 4x what you'd pay at a diner(calamaris cheap tho) -kitchen is connected to the bar & lounge (so it smells like an ingredients bar, think ikea & alcohol) -no place to hang jacket or wintercoat as far as I know, but chairs worked fine. -shared bathroom (i got shy i didnt pee) -long line to get table :(View more

Fantastic restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The service was extremely friendly & welcoming. It's an excellent place to enjoy a good time with loved ones. They don't take reservations. The food was fresh & absolutely delicious. Great vegetarian options. The pistachio tiramisu was heavenly. 10/10View more

First time there, manager Chloe & Catherine were supper nice & welcoming ..food was so fresh & drinks on point. I'm italien & it's rare I go out to italien resto but some of the dishes we took reminded me of nonnas recipes. Keep up the great work . Will be visiting soon againView more

Tasty pasta, nice ambiance, good service! Focaccia bread is fresh & nice here , they bake it. The only negative point about Barbara is there is no reservation & it is first come first serve, so you need to give your name when you arrive & on Saturday night waiting time was about 50minutes!View more

I've been there to breakfast twice now. A really good experience across the board. Food is always fresh & tasty. You can tell they make everything by hand the flavours are simple yet efficient & seasoned enough! The waiters were kind, caring & funny. They have a wide selection of wines. Their chai latte is spot on! Food is always fresh & the placenis really clean! It was a little cold in there today, must admit it's minus 15 outside. I have been to BarBara a few times & the food is always as good, fresh & tasty! The staff is very friendly, the ambiance of the place is cozy & lovely. What I also like is that's it doubles as a café during the day so you can also drop by for a quick coffee or matcha break. A bit of a side note, but their matcha lattes hot or iced are very well prepared & taste very good. I always like to bring my friends here, the price is very reasonable & some side dishes can definitely be shared. I would say some of my favorite items are the arancini, the burrata & the cacio e pepe. They have a good wine & alcohol selection as well. Just a few things to consider is that they do not take reservations so you have to be there early on typical weekend evenings because you might have to wait for a little while. However, you can always order a drink or a side dish while you wait. That being said, I would recommend you to try this place!View more
