J'ai beaucoup entendu parler de Bar Bara & j'avais vraiment hâte de vivre l'expérience. Nous avons malheureusement été déçus du service & nous ne retournerons pas à ce restaurant. Une de mes entrées préférées sont les arancinis & nous y allions spécifiquement pour les essayer & à notre arrivée le serveur nous a dit que les arancinis seraient seulement disponible dans 1heure. Nous avons commandés d'autres entrées, en attendant ainsi que le plat principal. 1 heure après, nous avons demandé si les enfin arancinis étaient disponibles & on nous dit que finalement il n'y en aurait pas du tout de toute la soirée! Le serveur n'a même fini son service & a demandé a un autre serveur de nous faire payer. Lorsqu'on nous nous dirigions vers la sortie le serveur nous a vu, a détourné le regard, & nous a même pas dit au revoir. Je ne comprend pas qu'est ce qu'on a fait pour recevoir cette attitude. De plus, nous avions commandé les pâtes cacio e pepe & celles au ragu, & les deux baignaient dans l'huile, on mangeait quasiment une soupe d'huile. Vraiment déçus de l'expérience en général.View more

Is hipster enough for first dates. Goofy for second or third dates. +food tastes good (yumm) +food is fresh +candles(real ones, not electric) +waitress was stellar✨✨✨✨✨ +place was clean +chairs are cozy +bathrooms are real clean +easy to find -idk if they steam their soy or oat milk because latte was cold -prices for food are 4x what you'd pay at a diner(calamaris cheap tho) -kitchen is connected to the bar & lounge (so it smells like an ingredients bar, think ikea & alcohol) -no place to hang jacket or wintercoat as far as I know, but chairs worked fine. -shared bathroom (i got shy i didnt pee) -long line to get table :(View more

Quelle magnifique expérience. La nourriture était délicieuse: crudo d'Hamachi, carpaccio de boeuf, foccacia ainsi que deux plats de pâtes. Nous étions au bar & le service était impeccable( verre de vin & d'eau toujours remplis, tous les employés qui nous parlent & ultra sympathiques, chaleureux). 5 étoiles & plus vraiment! Nice neighbourhood hang out! Excellent service with very friendly & efficient staff! Food is not what I expected but then again I did not know it was more of a bar with a few ordinary food item on the list than a restaurant. Super trendy resto bar cafe where you can just hang out with friends. They don't pressure you to leave or to order. We stayed here for a few hours & only ordered drinks. They also brought us complimentary pastries. Service was very good & they were all very nice. All of the food also looked delicious. Service was chaotic & inefficient, our drinks were sitting at the bar for 10 minutes before someone realized & brought them to us. Despite this, many of the staff weren't occupied so it seems mismanaged. Food was overpriced ($16 for one piece of toast). Many better places you can go to in MontrealView more

Cozy bar with a bit more upscale vibe. Ordered literally everything on the money for 6 people. Was around 40$ per person. You can't go wrong with any of the food. Portions are decent & fulfilling. When you can get a spot at BarBara you'll definitely have a night to remember. No matter what you order you can't miss: the gnocchi is incredible, the fries are covered in parmesan (never a bad thing for us) & don't even get us started on the focaccia. The wine selection is incredible. To have a spot with such a wide inventory that is constantly changing is incredible. The service is a bit slow but like we said they are always really busy. Went here for a birthday lunch with a friend & had outstanding service. The staff was very friendly & genuinely seemed like they were happy to be there, which is a rare occurrence nowadays. Brandon, the bar man, in particular, was very passionate about his craft & knowledgeable in his recommendations. A friend & I had the most wonderful evening at Bar Bara last night. We popped in unexpectedly for one drink & stayed for appys & a full dinner just because it felt so nice to be there. This was 100% due to one server who from he very first Hi was absolutely charming, knowledgeable & just so kind! Jacob described the menu with genuine excitement , had us trying new wines, & chatted with us in a way that was reminiscent of a small town catch up. A joy. The food is always top notch but as a business owner myself service is key & they've hired a gem. Bar Bara give Jacob a raise. Everyone else go enjoy an evening & stay awhile :)View more
