The service is great & the food is delicious. We ordered a burger super well done & they made it exactly as we expected. The portions are big, especially the fries 🍟! Enjoy!😉

We used to go for nice, sit-down suppers at Dominion Square Tavern, but it seems to have become - at least on the recent Friday evening I was there with colleagues - a loud, dark, overcrowded'bar bar' full of the downtown lawyer / business crowd. I was the last to arrive at our table & spent the entire evening with either the waitstaff or the fellow seated across the aisle from us bumping into me, which I didn't enjoy. We ended up leaving to get supper elsewhere as we couldn't hear each other over the noise. I found it a far cry from the charming pub atmosphere that I remembered & I won't be going back on a Friday evening anytime soon. Food was fine - slightly elevated pub food. Drinks were about on par, price-wise, with other downtown options, though at one point out waitress said there would be a wait for refills as the bar was very backed up.
Loved it. A casual Sunday night with cocktails, good wine, food, company (,cute waiters) & a genuinely welcoming vibe & setting. We got the calamari & Caesar salad (with drinks of course!).

Même seule, on se sent instantanément à l'aise : accueil chaleureux, échanges naturels, good vibes.
& puis… soyons clairs 😅 : le staff est aussi pro que charmant, avec ce petit magnétisme qui change tout.
Résultat : une soirée qui ne devait pas durer… & dont on se souvient.
Adresse dangereusement agréable. J'y retourne.
The vibes in this bar are *gorgeous*-super aesthetic in a way you genuinely wouldn't expect from the exterior. I came for a friend's birthday & it was such a fun spot for a night out.
Cocktail prices are pretty much in line with every other downtown Montreal bar, so you're not really coming here for a'deal,' but the drinks were **really yummy** & well made.
Food-wise: we ordered the **party platter** & I honestly wouldn't recommend it. It's marketed as a mix of smaller appetizers in one platter, but it felt like only 2-3 actual items from the menu, with **a huge portion of the platter being crudités**-& it was **$74**. That said, the sauces/dips that came with it were amazing, especially the **chimichurri**.
The mains helped recover the experience a bit. I had the **burger**-it was a good portion if you want something heavier, but mine was a little dry & kind of cold. Not bad, just not extraordinary. The **fries**, though? Dangerous. Genuinely addictive-best'drunk bar fries' I've had in a while.
Service was another standout: the waitress & staff were super hands-on & attentive, which we really appreciated. Overall, the drinks & ambiance were the highlights for me, & I definitely wouldn't be surprised if I ended up back here again.

We had just finished dinner close by & were looking for a place to have a drink. Looked on google & saw it was dollar oyster night too. We opted to jump in here for drinks & a dozen oyster, cause why not?!
Boy, are we glad we did. Drinks were great & service was even better! Our server was awesome. We started bs-ing with him about where he would suggest us to eat. He had fun with us & even took time to write down a list for us of his favorites, which was awesome. He ended up getting off work & the guy who replaced him was equally as personable.
We almost went back the next night as we enjoyed it there so much.

The menu is refined yet comforting, & the cocktails are expertly crafted, balanced, & bursting with character. A perfect spot for a chic night out where Montréal meets timeless Paris.

We had a wonderful evening at Bar Dominion this week. The establishment was packed when we came in, the Habs were playing in a few hours & people were coming in to have drinks before.
The staff were very efficient, carefully explained the situation & conveniently updated us every few minutes as to when we would get space. Finally they cleared up some standing tables & we ended up being there for a bit. They then offered us to switch to better places once the crowd cleared up.
The bar was very elegant, as was the rest of the restaurant. A classic British-Canadian pub in the heart of Montreal that I would definitely recommend to people if they are in the area. There was a veey good mix of people inside & the bartenders were friendly & gave us unlimited waters without asking.
Cozy & curated, the perfect spot for delicious shareable plates & incredible cocktails. The staff were so thoughtful & considerate in service, from when you entered to when you left.
Excellente nourriture & très bonne place si vous voulez manger de bonnes huitres.:) Je suis 2 fois avec mon chéri car nous adorons ce restaurant. La première fois, le service était impeccable mais la deuxième fois nous avons eu un service lent avec un serveur qui venait à peine nous voir. Malgré tout nous recommandons cette place!
