About us
A lot of people asked me: Why Bananier ? Here is the story...
Have you ever smelled a steamed banana leaf? This unique scent will forever embody a flurry of my childhood memories, instantly unlocking flashbacks of the beautiful Asian continent, its unique dishes, vibrant market stalls, and trendy restaurants. Growing up, this same sweet leafy aroma led me to the kitchen, intrigued by my Ba Noi’s (grandmother's) culinary concoctions. A family passion for cooking passed on from generation to generation, my father introduced me to Thai flavor, technique, and creativity. Soon after, my parents guided me through the entrepreneurial challenges of their own restaurants, L'Escale a Bangkok and Red Thai, from staffing to sourcing, and from plating to customer journey.
Twenty more years alongside our city’s most amazing cooks and restaurateurs, inspired by childhood recipes and my own, I finally bring you "Bananier Resto-Bar"!
You'll be able to find me in the front hall, running in and out of the kitchen. You'll also catch a glimpse of Papa Ngoc and Mama Ly in the kitchen.

Le restaurant Bananier est un endroit idéal pour déguster une cuisine thaïlandaise authentique & savoureuse. Le menu propose une variété de plats. Les portions sont généreuses & les prix raisonnables. La cuisine est 5 étoiles, sans aucun doute. Le service, en revanche, est 3 étoiles. Le personnel est aimable, mais pas très attentif. Il faut souvent attendre longtemps pour passer la commande, recevoir l'addition ou demander un verre d'eau. L'ambiance est 4 étoiles. Le restaurant est décoré avec goût, dans un style thaïlandais moderne. La musique est agréable, mais pas trop forte. L'éclairage est tamisé, mais pas trop sombre. L'atmosphère est chaleureuse & conviviale, mais pas trop bruyante. On se sent à l'aise & détendu dans ce restaurant. En conclusion, le restaurant Bananier est une excellente adresse pour les amateurs de cuisine thaïlandaise. La qualité des plats est irréprochable, mais le service est perfectible. L'ambiance est agréable, mais pas exceptionnelle. C'est un restaurant que je recommande, mais pas pour une occasion spéciale.View more

We were 2 people for dinner & we had the Cari Vert with beef & the Cari Rouge with salmon. Both delicious! Also the Bananier special coffee with condensed milk was awesome. This restaurant never disappoints!
