Intimate space with soft music & attentive hostess. The offerings were sophisticated & felt like a cross between Persian & French cuisine. I recommend the sampling menu for two people. Wine selections were good.
The atmosphere is nice but the food is very average. The place is not specialized in food so if you're trying to grab dinner I would not recommend. A lot of The items on the online menu (the mains) weren't available. They have a nice back patio tho, so it's nice for a glass of wine.
We had wine here. The space was so beautiful, & the staff so friendly!
Wonderful food & great wines. Friendly passionate, & generous owners. My wife loves the vegetarian menu items especially the dolma. We have been coming here once à month since discovering it this summer.
I recently visited Azalea, a Persian restaurant in Montreal, with a friend who's not Iranian. My goal was to introduce her to Persian cuisine, & Azalea was spot on. We ordered the plate, a mix of small portions of different Persian dishes. The flavors were so good, & the presentation was on point. The wine selection complemented the meals well. The ambiance was nice, & the owner, a very welcoming lady, made sure we had a good time. Azalea is a great place for anyone wanting to experience Persian flavors. I highly recommend it!
Negative :
Portions were tiny.
Food was warmed in microwave. *There was no cooks*.
The server goes in the kitchen, warms the food up & brings it out, literally.
Positive:
Service was nice.
Wine was good.
Definitely not recommended.
Lovely staff & beautiful cozy place. Not a restaurant though so if you're going there for Persian food you'll be very disappointed. It's a place focused on wine. Not food!
Another best kept secret in Montreal. The tapas are a delight of fine sophisticated iranian cuisine. The vegan options were welcome ,& so testy,. The salmon taps, with my glass of white wine was to die for. I can highly recommend this place. A real delight. They also have a very nice choice of wine a la carte. The owner was very attentive to everyone's need.
Food was magnificent. The prices were very reasonable for the level of cuisine. The room & dinnerware were nice too. Very nice wine list.
