Great Bring Your Own Wine restaurant. Was a busy night but the service was great. We were two people & the bill was reasonable.

Thank you a nice evening, To celebrate my Husband's 65th birthday! It was a success. Thanks to the staff as we understand where on a time frame & we where never rushed Thank you to Mr Leo always smiling Even when it's very busy! Food arrived hot fresh & everyone really enjoyed themselves Thank you again!

This wasn't the first time eating at this particular restaurant. But this will likely be my last one. There are other Au Vieux Duluth around I can go to, this is just the closest one. Tonight, was particularly loud & busy. But, that's to be expected for a Friday night. But we still had to wait to be seated (despite it bot being peak hours & there being many tables empty by this time), had to wait for our bread & water, & had to wait an additional 20 minutes after that to have them take our order. The appetizer was good. My wife always likes Calemari & she particularly enjoyed this one. The soup I had was also quite good. The wait staff were pleasant & friendly. But that's where the positive experiences end for the night. I decided to treat myself to their NY steak. The second most expensive menu item. This is the second time I've ordered that from this location. The last time was incredibly overdone & had to be sent back. Unfortunately this time was similar. While not as overdone, a medium steak came in closer to well done. I had it sent back again & a few minutes later they returned with another one. This one was now rare instead (remember I ordered medium), but decided not to fuss & accepted it. I can handle rare. But the second cut was incredibly bad. There was fat all throughout the steak & it was extremely tough. I tried to eat it but had to leave more than half untouched because it was just that bad. We complained again when they collected the plates, & I was ready to call it a night. my wife however wanted dessert, so we ordered some. They were fine as well, but nothing fancy. Finally, when the bill came, I was shocked to see they provided the desserts for free, but still charged me full price for the steak, even though I had eaten less than a quarter of my food, leaving a majority of the steak uneaten. Overall it was extremely disappointing & ruined an otherwise nice night with my wife out. I will not be returning to this location.

We've been going there many times & always reserved on busy Saturday nights. So my wife called at 3 pm Saturday to do so & a gentleman answered it was not necessary & to just arrive at 5:30 to 5:45 & there would be no seating problems. She asked if he was sure since Saturdays are very busy. He confirmed. So we show up at 5:45 & see the 10 people line up & the restaurant is packed. My wife asked to see the manager & a woman comes to the front & explained that they don't take reservations on Saturdays. Which is absolutely false because we have every time because of the crowds. The woman insisted saying she's the owner, been there since the beginning (with an insulting smirk) & that there are no reservations on Saturdays. We walked out not wanting to wait an hour to sit. It kind of ruined things a bit since we only go out about every four months or so. Thanks for not being honest about the screw up.
