Review Summary

Au Vieux Duluth is described as a busy, welcoming spot where the food is consistently good to excellent and portions are generous for a reasonable price, with many diners praising dishes like shrimp papillon and a tender chicken, and noting the option to bring your own wine. The setting can be lively and noisy, and service ranges from outstanding and attentive to inconsistent, especially during peak times, with some reviews mentioning slow or less attentive moments and others highlighting friendly, proactive staff. Parking behind the restaurant is convenient, and the place is repeatedly recommended for group dinners and as a dependable value. A few criticisms appear, including concern about bathroom cleanliness in one visit and an instance of a staff attitude during a busy shift. Overall, Au Vieux Duluth is regarded as a reliable, affordable favorite where good food, consistent value, and a warm vibe attract regulars, even though experiences can vary with the crowd and staffing.
