Bon restaurant francais,tout était bon onglet de boeuf ,magret de canard , agneau , le cerf ,les crèmes en entree, belles portions bien accompagnees, nougat comme dessert & de très bons vins, le menu montreal à table 2025 aussi flétan, chanterelles potage, Paris Brest ...
Il y aura peut-être lieu d'ajouter un petit quartier de citron à votre pavée de saumon.
Le paris-bresst est un peu petit.
Pour le reste tout est excellent.

5-stars for sure! Atmosphere, service & dinners were exceptional. Greeted upon arrival by Zachary, who made our terrific martinis using gin from Quebec-very good! Dinner was well paced, not rushed, & exceptional in presentation & taste. Felt like I was back in Paris. My advice: GO THERE! Thanks Au Petit Extra & Zachary! Cheers- MJB
J'ai commandé le magret de canard & comme accompagnement, je n'ai eu droit à une demie pomme de terre & une touffe d'herbe. À peine un filet de sauce sur le magret. L'assiette semblait très vide. En plus de la demie pomme de terre, je me serais attendue à quelques légumes de saison minimalement, carottes, panais, ou salade de quinoa. Le Paris Brest décevant aussi. Bref, je suis restée sur ma faim, autant physique que visuelle.
Old school classic French bistro with all the classic dishes you'd expect.
Very friendly staff, & good ambiance, it gets busy if there's a show nearby so I would recommend to reserve a table.
We had the fish soup with croutons & rouille, & the fish with green pepper sauce, it was great.
The Paris Brest for dessert was delicious. The wine list has plenty of interesting selections at average prices.
This place has been around for years for good reasons.
Service exceptionnel! Je suis venu avec un ami qui est des Etats-Unis. Il a tombé en amour avec la decoration & l'ambiance (ca lui rappelle de Paris!). Les serveurs étaient respectueux, amicable & patient. La nourriture était excellent!

Tout était parfait, belle carte de vins à prix raisonnable, la soupe de poisson était excellente, délicieux agneau & paris Brest, service discret, sympa & attentionné. Belle ambiance, un peu bruyante quand même (groupe de clients un peu exaltés...)
We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at Au Petit Extra & it could not have been a more perfect evening! We were warmly greeted & escorted to a table by the window in this lovely dining room. The staff went above & beyond in service. Our dinner was the best we had in Montreal. The waiter recommended a wine that was the perfect accompaniment to the dishes we ordered. &, to top off the evening, we were presented with Paris Brest mousse with a candle, & even serenaded with "Happy Birthday". Could not have wished for a more memorable anniversary celebration! I am renaming the restaurant Au Beaucoup Extra!
Généralement tout est excellent, tant le service que la nourriture. Hier a été une exception en ce qui regarde les pâtes au saumon qui étaient très dures. Par contre l'onglet de boeuf valait le déplacement. & que dire du Paris-Brest, sublime.
We arrived & were seated promptly.
The ambiance was lovely with white tablecloths our server was nice. The food, the oysters were delicious, the duck confit & the duck magret were outstanding. The cod was beautifully prepared. We had the crème brûlée, the tart Tatin & the Paris Brest. All accompanied with a fantastic bottle of Bordeaux.
Will be back next time I return to Montreal.
