It has become an institute for perfection. The atmosphere is wonderful. My partner took me there in our first date, 18 years ago. We keep on going there as they kept the quality of the food, while introducing a few new dishes. The poultry Riette was to die for, the Seabream fish was in delicious green curry & for dessert, a pavlova cake that was a celebration of quality ingredients that all contribute to your taste buds to be happy. Kudos!
Very nice French restaurant..good service..friendly people..delicious food...
An exceptional dining experience from start to finish! We chose Au Petit Extra for dinner before catching a show at the neighboring Lion d'Or, & it was the perfect decision.
It is a classic French bistro-style restaurant with a wonderful, chill atmosphere. The service was excellent, attentive, & well-paced for pre-show dining. Our waitress was very friendly & made us feel genuinely welcome.
Every single dish was absolutely delicious. My burger was cooked to perfection, flavorful, & juicy. My wife ordered the confit de canard, & it was incredibly tender & flavorful. The delicious dessert & a digestif were an excellent sweet finish that beautifully topped off our meal.
We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Highly recommended!
This French restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere & food that is generally above average. The dining room is comfortable, making it a nice place for a relaxed meal.
For appetizers, we ordered the roast poultry rillettes. For mains, we had the beef cheek & duck confit, & we finished with a crème brûlée for dessert.
Overall, the dishes were well prepared & enjoyable. The beef cheek was tender, the duck confit was nicely cooked, & the crème brûlée was a satisfying way to end the meal. While nothing was particularly groundbreaking, the food was consistently good & the overall experience was very enjoyable.
A solid choice if you're looking for a comfortable French dining experience.
We loved this restaurant. We are visiting Canada from Ireland & were very happy to have experienced such a nice French-bistro atmosphere & food in Montreal.
Exceptional food that is reasonably priced. The seafood & fish items are as fresh as they can get. Very attentive wait staff & they do not interrupt the table; always coming at the right time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good French cuisine dining experience at great value!
Lovely experience. Excellent service & authentic French cuisine. Duck confit & tender gizzards were on point
Excellent service, attentive, friendly & quick. Food is excellent, most French classics are present. The wine list is comprehensive & priced reasonably. A very pleasant experience.
Recommended by my French friend, food was good, a bit too salty, had to drink a lot of water afterwards, while the ambiance was pleasant. Noah was attentive, friendly, & made sure we had everything we need. He definitely enhanced our overall dining experience.
The food but the variety or edgy bold dish is not there. Classic French menu but lacks the ambition it used to have.
