Came to eat there last Sunday afternoon & made the mistake of ordering what was advertised as a AAA flank steak. For $39 I wasn't expecting steakhouse quality, but still.
The steak was cold with an even colder chunk of compound butter on top that just would not melt. Took a few bites & it was unseasoned & soooooo chewy that I ended up spitting most of it out. What got me was the waitress' response when I let her know that the steak was inedible due to how chewy it was. She condescendingly argued that I must not know that flank is meant to be a little bit textured & that she'd served several of them that day with no complaints. There's a difference between a steak that has a bit of texture, which I actually prefer over more tender cuts, & that chewy, flavorless mess I got.
She offered to box my meal for me when I said I didn't want it anymore (why would I want to take that thing home??), but I opted to just return my mostly untouched plate. She took a measly 5$ & change off the bill for the in inconvenience. My husband paid for the bill to keep the peace, his decision. As someone who previously worked in the restaurant industry in one form or another for almost 25 years, there is no way I would charge a customer for a meal that was inedible. At least hubby enjoyed his burger & salad.
We stayed at the hotel above the restaurant & we ate twice here of our three night stay.
The first night, which we unfortunately did not take pictures of, started off amazing. We had the chicken burger & the salmon pave. The salmon pave was more than excellent! I could rate this 10 stars if I could. The chicken burger had the right amount of the sauce. We could do without the fries but they were better the second night with the Sichuan peppercorn mayo.
We also can't forget the drinks. Ask for Daniel, best bartender ever. He was so accommodating & the hot toddies were delicious.
The second night was even better. We had the smoked duck & the portion of the duck was generous & left us wanting more of the barley & vegetable mixture. The pea shoots addition was spectacular & a nice surprise. The burger was yummy but the duck just stole the show.
The service may be slower on the weekdays so please be patient. This is a local establishment where the food & people are definitely worth the wait.

We went today & shared the crispy chicken burger & fries after an 88KM gravel bike ride. We did share our beers, though. Great service. Didn't wait. Quick & efficient.
La nourriture est juste incroyable vraiment beaucoup trop bon. J'ai pris la poutine à l'agneau confit & le smash burger vege, c'etait magnifique 🤩 & le rapport qualite-prix est super. Bon emplacement & le service est parfait. Je recommande
Excellent tartare au saumon, burger au boeuf.Les serveurs ont été super attentifs à nos besoins. Nous recommandons ce restaurant & nous reviendrons certainement! Ça vaut le détour.

Mais...le service ..est vraiment à améliorer, non attentionné les serveurs. Peut être que ce soir, ça leur tentait pas..Dommage c'est un endroit sympathique & la cuisine est excellente.

A great local restaurant. I went with a few family friends, & we had the duck, prime rib, & burger & all were very good. It was a little expensive, but for the price it was worth it. The staff was excellent & the decor was rustic but nice. Would definitely recommend
Service parfait! Merci à Rebecca pour sa gentillesse & son attention Les plats sont copieux. Super alternative pour les personnes allergiques au lait : le burger de poulet ! Les moules étaient également très bonnes.
We had the onion soup, veggies dinner, steak tartare, chicken burger & lava cake. Everything was great. 2 things. Get the chicken burger, it was awesome. Not that it wasn't good, but for 16$, we just hoped the lava cake would lava. But great little place.

Calamari & kids burger came out fast. But my wife & I decided to order fish & chips each. Oh my goodness, the long wait & the terrible fish! I've never ever had fish & chips that is hard, dry & chewy! It was a torturing experience. The only reason it gets a 2 star from me is due to the great service & the freshness of the fish. Save your money.
I've been going to this restaurant for well over a decade & I always enjoyed the ambience, staff & food. But I just had the worst veggie burger in my life! Please put more effort & thought into your meals.
Le service est impeccable par contre la nourriture est un peu cher pour ce que c'est malheureusement 26 $ un burger de limite restauration rapide c'est un cher malheureusement mais par contre belle ambiance & le service est magnifique

I hate to leave a bad review but I honestly don't understand how a restaurant serves food like this at the price that it is. Went with my husband & our son. My son ordered the kids pasta which was 20$ for a tiny bowl that costs about 2$ to make at home & it was absolutely disgusting. All three of us tried it & couldn't eat it so it went to waste. My husband who has never cooked could probably make a better plate of pasta. My veggie burger had a piece of lettuce & tomatoes with fries & my husband took an entree salad & side dish. We also ordered a side of seasonal veggies which were clearly reheated & drenched in butter. We paid about 120$. For this price it's absolutely a disgrace & robbery. I just don't understand how restaurants can serve food like this at this price. On a positive note, the service was surprisingly excellent. Our server who seemed quite young was eager to please, attentive & kind. A rarity these days. 2 stars for the great service otherwise the food was a huge disappointment
We came here after a day of skiing at around 4pm on a weekday & loved it. They didn't have Saison available but tried some of their other beers & they were great. Our table ordered the apres ski menu (bread & cheese platter - Delicious; chowder - also delicious), & from the regular menu we tried the burger, which our table liked & a Fish & Chips from the kid's menu (which is BIG & enough for 2-3 kids 😳, but very good). Not sure what the negative reviews are about. The service here is super friendly, efficient & accommodating. It did get crowded after 5pm, but it's mostly the bar. Many people drinking around the bar & surrounding areas standing up in small crowds, which can slow service a bit, but not a big deal & made the ambiance fun & lively.
Made a reservation through Google... it worked like a charm for 5 ppl dinner. Had onion soup, stakes & bison burger. Everything was great! A warm pudding. dessert was a nice ending!
