Arthur's Nosh Bar is a restaurant on Notre-Dame St. W. in St. Henri. Owners Alex Cohen & Raegan Steinberg, a married couple, worked at Joe Beef before opening Arthurs.
The restaurant serves Jewish classics with a twist. I've been wanting to go here since last year for brunch, but I never got the chance.
I decided to try it because I've never been to a Jewish inspired restaurant before, & the ratings seemed good.
I walked in the heat & sun to the middle of a very odd place on a weekday afternoon to get to here. I was surprised it was packed & had a waitlist.
I ordered:
LATKE SMORGASBORD
SOFT SCRAMBLED EGGS, LATKE, SALMON GRAVLAX, ISRAELI SALAD, PRESSED CHALLAH ROLL
I quite liked it, especially the pressed challah roll. It's nice that it's something sweet, served with other savoury items. The latke was good too. Out of the menu items, this one is popular alongside with the pancakes (but I ordered Katie smorgasbord because it seemed more unique to me).View more
4.5 stars. Great brunch spot. Went on a Thursday morning & it was quite busy. Couldn't imagine the weekend wait. A little insane the MP for the strawberries worked out to $6 over the cost of the pancakes regularly. Service was okay.View more
This place gets brunch. Everything we tried was packed with flavour & personality. The McArthur sandwich? Savoury, messy, & damn satisfying with turkey, egg, & pickles on a sesame bagel. The classic plate with scrambled eggs, challah, latke, & smoked salmon looked fancy & felt comforting.
Waffles with beef bacon , salami & egg hit that sweet-salty-crunchy spot, & the shakshuka was warm, not too spicy, & perfect for scooping with pita. Portions are generous, the vibe is lively, & even if there's a wait-it's worth it.View more
Love their delicious pancakes & McArthur sandwich! One of the best brunch places in Montreal. Disappointed by service -- the waitress just took my plate of food that I wasn't finished eating without asking while there was still a whole pancake on it. She was caucasian, thin with a hawkish nose. Unprofessional.View more
Honestly one of the best brunch in Montreal. Different than any other restaurant! I love coming here!! Just one thing, the service is a bit slow so plan around.View more
Went to Arthur's because we heard they had great brunch. But they don't accept reservations at this location & the waiting time was 2 hours !! Showed up at 11 & eat at 1 pm.
It's a small place which can't fit many & reception didn't seem to be bothered that people have to wait 2 hoursView more
Très bon brunch spécial les pancakes & les spécialités saumon . C est toujours archi plein donc réserver à l avanceView more
A really good place to brunch ! Love this place & became on of my favourite spot in town.
I highly recommend to try !View more
Super brunch c'est bon & frais ! Les pancakes sont juste WAOUHHHH. Les meilleures que j'ai mangé. Allez y tôt, y a la line ! Attention à l'intérieur cela est bruyant !View more
I went to Arthur's Nosh Bar with my husband & another couple for brunch, & we loved it! The staff was kind & welcoming, & the food was absolutely delicious. There was a line when we arrived, but it moved fairly quickly. It's definitely worth a visit!View more
Fantastic brunch. Syrinki pancakes 🥞 are scrumptious, one of the best I ever had. Never tasted pancakes like this before. My entire meal was very delicious. I had the grand slam brunch order. The atmosphere is great. Highly recommend this cafe. This location doesn't accept reservations, walk-ins only but well worth the wait. I will definitely return upon my next visit to Montreal.
New review: I went back to Arthur's of course to get the syrinki pancakes. I ate at the bar. Service was great again. I ordered the avocado toast & side of the pancakes. The avocado toast was delicious. The pancakes are still to die for, chef's kiss 😘. I love Arthur's. Never disappoint. I will be back when I'm in Montréal again.View more
Arthur's is the best brunch in Montreal without a doubt. They consistently pull off a amazing dishes. You have to get the Syrniki pancakes & their turkey club is one of the best I have ever had. It is a place where you can't order incorrectly & any wait they tell you is often well worth it. It's cozy, quick, & affordable for what you get. Any hype you have heard is 1000% backed by quality & flavour.
I have been countless times & loved it every time.View more
View more
This is one of the best breakfast/brunch spots I've been. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, especially with the scrambled eggs & challah roll it comes with. The Syrniki was also incredible. They were super fluffy & paired so well with the maple syrup.View more
One of the best brunches I ever had was at Arthurs. I highly recommend the'Grand Slam' from the brunch menu. The chocolate babkas & the cinnamon babkas are delicious as well.View more
A great place, but does it deserve all the attention it gets, debatable... Honestly, any other dinner can do the same job, its nothing special, they plate the dishes nicely, which makes it worth it?.. If you like aesthetics, taking pictures & mediocre breakfast/brunch, this spot is for you.View more
Un des meilleurs brunch de Montréal! J'y suis allée plusieurs fois & j'ai adoré à chaque fois.View more
Best brunch in montreal! The pancakes, sprinkle cookies & latkes are a must!View more
Very good brunch. The Jack Johnson pancakes are top notch. The "scramble" is just okay - I wouldn't order again. However the food quality is very high & I would definitely return & try other items. Btw they told us it'd be a 30 min wait but it was only 10. They take your number & text you & give you 10 mins to appear. There are 2 cafes across the street where you can grab a coffee & wait.View more
I discovered the best chicken sandwich (McArthur) here! If you have a sweet tooth, their pancakes are a must-try, & they even offer kid-sized portions. Eggplant lovers shouldn't miss their Shakshuka. Highly recommend this spot for brunch. The only downside is the wait time, so be prepared.View more

Always delicious! One of my favourite places for breakfast/brunch when I'm in Montreal.View more
Pretty generous portions & amazing food. I come here 2-3 times a year for brunch & the food is always awesome. On my last visit I ordered grand slam & it didn't disappoint, the hot sauce was pretty tasty, different than any other hot sauces I've ever had, it's hot but not making you cry/getting runny nose. I also recommend Syrniki & Moroccan toast.View more
Came for brunch with some friends today & I have to say that despite the food being exceptional, I can't recommend this place for brunch. The waitress rushed us to order, kept interrupting our conversation, & rushed us to ask for our checks & leave. While the food is definitely worth the long wait, Arthur's is not the place to go if you want to enjoy your food for longer than 1 hour.View more
An absolute gem of a place to enjoy your brunch!! The food is delicious, I tried the Latke Smorgasbord & the famous Syrniki. The smorgasbord was a perfect blend of Jewish cuisine with eggs, salmon & the challah bread! Loved the famous syrniki pancake for its fluffy & flavourful texture. I'll be revisiting for sure!View more
So worth the wait & money. Best brunch i had in Mtl. Syrniki's are just unbelievable.View more
