Arthur's Nosh Bar was highly recommended to us during our visit to Montréal, & we can understand why.
This restaurant has a great dining area that's well lit & relaxing. The staff are all friendly & helpful. There is also a lot of merchandise for sale.
We ordered the Strawberry Syrniki for breakfast (a cheesy pancake). It was one of the best breakfasts we had on our visit. The pancake wasn't too sweet (which is what we've noticed from other breakfast places in Canada) & & strawberries & maple syrup enhanced the flavour. Highly recommend Arthur's Nosh Bar for breakfast.View more

I have been to Arthur's twice now on visits to Montreal & both times were amazing! Our most recent visit, just a couple of days ago, was truly outstanding. We went on a weekday, so although business was still steady it wasn't packed & we were able to be seated right away. Service was friendly & attentive. We got the latke smorgasbord, the breakfast sandwich, fries & shared the pancakes for dessert. It was all top notch. My husband said the breakfast sandwich was one of the best (if not the best) he's ever had, & we both agreed the pancakes were THE best we've both ever had. We loved the vibe & can't wait to come back!View more

We had the classic breakfast, some pancakes & a mimosa. The pancakes are delicious - most try. The food is always tasty, fresh, fulfilling.

I have to admit that I wasn't expecting anything special. It was, after all, breakfast. However, I was, surprisingly, blown away by the flavors & textures. Just incredible flavorful food, well prepared, presented & using top quality ingredients. & a special mention for the pancakes. Again, usually a pancake is a pancake. Nothing special, just drown it in syrup or top it with something. But here, wow! All 4 of us agreed that it was the best pancake that we ever had, full stop.
A special shout-out to our server (sorry, forgot his name). He embodies what every server everywhere should emulate. Can't wait to return. A true 5 star experience.View more

every dish is absolutely delicious! if you had to choose one item - do yourself a favor & order the pancakes (syrniki) best pancakes in all of montreal! Arthur's is my go to place for breakfast especially with friends & family who visit from out of town - now they are all obsessed too :) we keep coming back & the service, ambiance & food is amazing every single time!View more

So we went there for the Pancakes & waited almost 40 minutes to get them. Also ordered the breakfast sandwich, it was ok. Had the beef bacon $7.00, it was terrible. also the ventilation isnt very good, upon arriving home both of us smelled like GREASE! Over all the Pancaked were a 10 on 10. I would order those to Go next time to avoid the wait & smell of Grease on your clothes.View more

I had an absolutely wonderful experience!
The breakfast sandwich & Syrniki were absolutely amazing - a true explosion of flavors!
The staff was incredibly professional & friendly.
If you prefer non-filtered coffee, you are allowed to grab it from the coffee shop across the street.
We went in the middle of the week in the morning- there was no wait- which was great :)
I had forgotten how great this place is, & it felt so nice to be back!

This is one of the best breakfast/brunch spots I've been. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, especially with the scrambled eggs & challah roll it comes with. The Syrniki was also incredible. They were super fluffy & paired so well with the maple syrup.View more

Honestly, any other dinner can do the same job, its nothing special, they plate the dishes nicely, which makes it worth it?.. We came here on a Sunday morning. We had to wait an hour for a table, but the hostess let us know. The best thing we had was the pancakes. If you are torn between pancakes & anything else, go with the pancakes. Delicious & filling. The deluxe hot chocolate is of the best we have ever tried. Definitely worth ordering. The service was excellent considering how busy it was. The McArthur chicken sandwich is ok. It hits the spot but you aren't going here for this. The fries with vinegar are mostly potato trimmings, not so much actually French fries. You know when you have fries & there little pieces at the end- it is a bowl of that. The latkes were ok. Again, you are not coming for this. The coffee was not good. Unfortunately my glass had that egg smell/taste that often happens at breakfast places. Even the replacement glass was the same. Because of the size of the place & the constant opening of the door, it was freezing & we had to keep our coats on to eat. Definitely worth coming & waiting an hour for the pancakes & hot chocolate.View more

I recently went here on my trip to Montreal & it is a must visit place! I had the banana pancakes & their breakfast plate, all of which was outstanding! I also had their Caesar, which had horseradish in it I believe & it was an inspiration to any future Caesar I will make. The atmosphere is cozy & the service is friendly & prompt. We just had the best breakfast in Montréal, & it definitely lives up to the hype! The atmosphere is vibrant, & the servers are always attentive, ensuring that service remains top-notch without compromising on the quality of the food. We tried the Syrniki cottage cheese pancakes & the Moroccan toast, both of which were hearty & absolutely worth every penny. The coffee was excellent too. The most amazing pancakes I've ever had. The wild berries were totally with the extra charge. Amazing. Now the breakfast sandwich? Maybe one of the worst things I've ever eaten at breakfast. At first I thought maybe this was the way they did their eggs but looking at other pictures & comparing that to what I got, it's clear that I got barely cooked eggs. Something seemed off when I got the sandwich, but didn't want to say anything if that's the way the eggs on the sandwich usually come. But now seeing others pictures, it was not. It was horrible. But I cant say enough how delicious the pancakes were. To Arthurs Ownership: Regardless of why I didnt say anything, the fact is that barely cooked eggs came out. I wasnt even sure eggs came with the sandwich based on how it looked & had to check the menu again to make sure I wasnt seeing things. I think I didnt say anything because the pancakes were that fantastic. But after seeing the pics of what the sandwich usually looks like, I should have.View more

Went for breakfast on a Monday. The latke smogasbord featured ONE latke. So... not a latke smogasbord at all. The latke was small, way too thick, & barely crispy. The lox was excellent but there was too little of it. The only generous portion on the plate was the challah, which was good, but there was not much to put on it (see: the small amount of lox, & lack of any cream cheese). The caviar mentioned in the description of the menu item was about 1/4 teaspoon worth. The Israeli salad lacked tomatoes, lemon juice, & olive oil -- 3 out of the 4 classic ingredients a proper Israeli salad should contain. The worst part? They charge almost $5 for a cup of coffee. Regular filtered coffee. You can buy a really nice cappuccino or latte for that price at any coffee house. There are free refills, if your server comes by more than once an hour, unlike ours. I'd heard great things about this place but the obscene price of the coffee & the quality of the food were very, very disappointing. Another item ordered at our table that I would caution future patrons against ordering: the lox bagel, which comes with barely any lox & 0 sides (i.e. all you will get for nearly $20 is a single bagel with a bit of lox inside).View more
