Went to Arthur's because we heard they had great brunch. But they don't accept reservations at this location & the waiting time was 2 hours !! Showed up at 11 & eat at 1 pm.
It's a small place which can't fit many & reception didn't seem to be bothered that people have to wait 2 hours
A fantastic breakfast, worth the wait! Pancakes & omelete special are must tries
Sat outside on a drizzly day & it was fine. Totally worth it! Great staff & the food is out of this world!
So we went there for the Pancakes & waited almost 40 minutes to get them. Also ordered the breakfast sandwich, it was ok. Had the beef bacon $7.00, it was terrible. also the ventilation isnt very good, upon arriving home both of us smelled like GREASE! Over all the Pancaked were a 10 on 10. I would order those to Go next time to avoid the wait & smell of Grease on your clothes.
Food was great, but not worth 2.5 hours wait! Seriously, if you can plan your fay around this meal, sure go for it. But 2.5 hour wait is really inconvenient.
Knew there would be a bit of a wait & wanted to see more of the city, so ordered take out & ate in a nearby park.
The pancakes & whatever delicious cinnamon bun type thing we had were SO good. Would go back again just to have.
Exquisite! The food was both asthetic & delicious. The challah bread with honey & sea salt was especially divine. I wish I could have tried one of everything
Arthur's is undeniably charming-trendy decor, warm & welcoming staff, & a great spot nestled in a buzzing neighbourhood.
That said, while I know it's a fan favorite, I found the food a bit hit or miss. The pancakes? Absolutely lived up to the hype-fluffy & delicious. But the bowl & avocado toast didn't quite wow me. Tasty, sure, but not standouts.
With the higher price point & the buzz surrounding it, I think some of the appeal comes from the overall vibe more than the food itself. Still, it's a pleasant place to try if you're curious & don't mind splurging a little.
