pancake(157) brunch(63) breakfast(54) sandwich(36) egg(28) recommend(25) latke(22) syrniki(22) cheese(21) bar(19) cottage(17) highly recommend(15)I mean the place is good but the service is tooooo slow, they took 20 min in bringing a sandwich & another 20 min to bring me a single pancake. I'd say I'm 50/50 about this place because having to wait so long for a dish ruins the experience
Incredible breakfast & sandwiches. I had the breakfast sandwich & cottage cheese pancakes & both could qualify as the absolute best of their kind. I couldn't recommend this place enough & that was before I had their incredible chicken schnitzel sandwich which is a MUST EAT.
Great place to go for brunch with friends! There's usually a wait, but it's totally worth it. Their cottage pancakes are amazing & the salmon sandwich is also delicious.
Great brunch spot! It can get quite busy, there was a line outside even before it opened. Food is delicious, so many options I wanted to try! I got the pancakes as they are known for, & they were amazing. My friend got the shakshouka & that was also delicious! Would definitely come back to try some of the other options.
Been trying to go back there for years now. The wait line is over an hour every time & I just don't have that patience for brunch.
It's easy if you live near by; you can swing by early, put your name on the list, & go back home until they call you. But if you don't live close, the experience sucks. I can't spend one hour at the bookshop near by lol.
They ought to have a system where you can digitally add your name to the list & time your departure accordingly. I visited a popular restaurant in Toronto with this system & it was great. Food for thought.
Living out of the province, Arthurs is always a must go every time I visit Montreal. Today, on a busy Sunday, the staff were incredible, especially Arietti, the host. Arietti (spelling?) was personable & humorous, & they created a welcoming atmosphere for me & my family. Arietti answered all my questions about seating an 8 month old baby in the restaurant, & was able to provide us with multiple resolutions when a problem arose with our seating time. Arietti even checked in on us when we sat down to make sure we were all okay later. An absolute angel. I was so happy I got to have my favourite syrniki again, & I cannot thank Arietti enough for his above & beyond service today. It made my visit to my favourite restaurant 1000 times better. Thank you!
First time eating at the St Henri location. (I usually go to the one in Le Cathcart & have eaten there couple of times already).
Waiting time was said to be 45 minutes & but we ended up waiting over 1 hour. Our waitress was quick to take our orders & food took a fair amount of time (not too long nor fast) despite the very busy day. So great job!!
I thought the portion in this place was much bigger than the one in Le Cathcart although my PERSONAL OPNION; I prefer the pancakes at Le Cathcart, it was more caramelized on the sides & texture was fluffier. Something about this one was different. Again, this is my personal opinion. Still very much
enjoyed it though.
Final thoughts: I will stick to the spot at Le Cathcart, mostly because we can book a table in advance & we are sure not to spend 1 hour waiting for a table.
Food is great, but I cannot in good conscience give a positive rating to a place that has such terrible ventilation. The entire place reeks of burning butter, not through improper cooking, but just because the hoods are clearly not pulling enough air. If you're seated near the kitchen & & you'll smell like movie popcorn for days.
Went to Arthur's for brunch & it was totally worth it! We were told the wait time would be about 50 minutes, but we got a text within 20 minutes that our table was ready, such a great surprise.
The service was amazing. Our server Nina was super friendly & quick, making the whole experience even better. Jessie was also fantastic with his dish recommendations, everything he suggested was a hit.
& the pancakes… hands down the best 🤩
Highly recommend trying Arthur's if you're in Montreal!
Ive tried to go 3 times on the weekend! Don't bother! Wait times have been up to 1.5 hours. This insane.
I waited a long time at the restaurant before receiving my order & that wasn't the first time. There was no clear information about the delivery time. This kind of situation complicates the work of the delivery
