pancake(178) brunch(72) breakfast(58) sandwich(39) egg(32) bar(28) recommend(28) cheese(25) latke(25) syrniki(25) cottage(19) highly recommend(18)We were seated next to the kitchen & there was a lot of little insects (like fruit flies) on the table/around us, which was a little disturbing & disgusting. Also we had to wait too long to get our orders. Not worth the hype.
I love this place so much that i randomly crave it sometimes, i tried to replicate the way they make scrambled eggs without success 😅
Pancakes were too dense & salty & the bread on the plate was a little stale
An extremely busy restaurant with long lineups but trust me, the wait is so worth it! We started with coffee & cranberry juice iced tea & moved into the best breakfast- Grand slam & Scrambled Eggs ❤️ Each bite was exquisitely delicious & for dessert we had the Nutella babka ❤️ Cannot wait to come back, wait in the lineup & try other items on the menu ☺️
Spectacular, everything was great, the sweet welcoming waitress, to the ambience & the food 👌🏻
Rated the service a 3 because it took a long time to get our order & after that no server ever came by. But we thought both of our sandwiches, the roast beef & the chicken schnitzel, were among the best we've ever had.
An excellent brunch place in a lovely Montreal neighbourhood. As we went early in the morning, we didn't wait at all. The interior is very funky & cute. My husband loved the salami dish. The salmon bagel was delicious. However, the service was a bit awkward. If you're a coffee fanatic, be aware this place only has drip coffee.
We had the Smorgasbord, blueberry syriki, & coffee. I will definitely be back! The food was amazing! I was surprised at how fluffy & good it was. It was a perfect amount of sweet. I will come back just for the pancake. The fried chicken from the grand slam was spicy full of flavor. I can't wait to come back.
Yummy food, friendly staff, upbeat vibes. If you go at peak times do expect to wait!!!
The staff was super nice & attentive. While the food was good, it was not what I expected hearing about this place for years. The avocado toast was good, egg was cooked perfectly. The Challah with butter & honey was cut too thick & didn't have enough honey, only tasted of grease butter, I was provided more honey upon request. The famous cottage cheese pancakes: maybe it was just a bad batch but they were doughy & raw towards the middle. The flavour had potential but overshadowed by the underdone inside. Overall it was an ok experience but not worth the hours long wait that some people sat there for.
Food is fantastic here. Worth the wait. I can't say the same with their service though, it felt inconsistent. The inside is too crowded for my preference so i'll take the terrace whenever it's possible.
I think the reason i will return to Montreal is this restaurant, their pancakes is outstanding. Nevertheless the service is fantastic. You need to try the Pancakes with blueberry & London fog.
Pretty long wait unless you go right when they open but the food is real good, though expensive. Try the cottage cheese pancakes.
The most amazing pancakes I've ever had. The wild berries were totally with the extra charge. Amazing. Now the breakfast sandwich? Maybe one of the worst things I've ever eaten at breakfast. At first I thought maybe this was the way they did their eggs but looking at other pictures & comparing that to what I got, it's clear that I got barely cooked eggs. Something seemed off when I got the sandwich, but didn't want to say anything if that's the way the eggs on the sandwich usually come. But now seeing others pictures, it was not. It was horrible. But I cant say enough how delicious the pancakes were. To Arthurs Ownership: Regardless of why I didnt say anything, the fact is that barely cooked eggs came out. I wasnt even sure eggs came with the sandwich based on how it looked & had to check the menu again to make sure I wasnt seeing things. I think I didnt say anything because the pancakes were that fantastic. But after seeing the pics of what the sandwich usually looks like, I should have.
