Tout en étant consciente du nombre élevé de clients & des places limitées dans le restaurant, je considère qu'il reste possible d'expliquer une situation aux clients de manière courtoise & respectueuse, sans toutefois adopter un ton désagréable.

The food is incredible. The service is amazing. Honestly I love it there. Feels homey & really warm. Yes the place is small but that's what makes it special. I would go back again & again. Pancakes are just wow! I still dream about them.
I was with someone, who recently sent a review explaining what happened, & I want to clarify the situation because your response changed the facts.
We arrived as three out of the four people in our group. The fourth person arrived about 5 to 10 minutes later at most. However, we were refused a table because all four people were not present yet. Because of this rule, we lost our table & it was given to someone else, even though we could have easily ordered as three people while the fourth person ordered later upon arrival.
Instead, we were told we would now have to wait 45 minutes for another table, even though we had arrived before the people who ended up getting our table.
At that point, we decided it would be better to go find another restaurant. Since it was about -10°C outside, we briefly stood in the entrance just to look on our phones & decide where to go next. The waitress then came over & told us we were'loitering' & that we had to leave, even though there was no one waiting there & most people were either already inside or being told they would have to wait 45-50 minutes.
Following that person review, your reply claimed that only two of the four of us had arrived & that we had been waiting 30 minutes for the next « 2 » others to arrive. Instead of apologizing, you changed the facts of what actually happened & lie.
Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this place at all. The service was poor, the atmosphere was unpleasant, & it certainly did not feel like the customer mattered here.
Je n'ai jamais vu un service comme celui-ci. Nous sommes entrées dans le restaurant & nous étions trois, mais une amie nous manquait puisqu'elle était prise dans le trafic. On nous a dit qu'il fallait être au complet pour pouvoir s'asseoir. Je n'ai jamais vu cela dans un restaurant.
La serveuse avait un air très bête. Notre amie est arrivée moins de 10 minutes plus tard, mais entre-temps l'attente était rendue à 50 minutes. On nous a alors demandé de sortir du restaurant si on voulait attendre & de rester dehors pour des raisons de sécurité. La façon dont la serveuse nous l'a dit était vraiment désagréable. Je n'ai jamais vu ça de ma vie.
J'ai moi-même été serveuse pendant plus de deux ans & je travaille dans la restauration depuis plus de 5 ans. Jamais au grand jamais je n'aurais parlé de cette façon à des clients.
Je suis complètement déçue de la manière dont nous avons été reçues. Quand nous avons reçu un appel pour nous dire qu'une table était finalement disponible, nous avons préféré ne pas répondre, car nous ne voulons pas encourager ce type de restaurant. Je n'irais jamais manger dans un endroit où le service est déjà désagréable avant même d'avoir commencé à manger.
Nous y sommes allé un samedi matin à l'ouverture & il y avait déjà la queue. Par contre ça vaut définitivement l'attente. Je rêve encore des pancakes 😊 tout était excellent!
Visite un vendredi vers 10h. 20min d attente. Proposition de prendre le numero de téléphone & de texter quand la table est prete, pratique. Menu variés & pas dispendieux. Serveuse peut aimable & plutot expeditive. Nourriture excellente. Les pancakes mérites leurs réputations.

I've been going to Arthur's for years & it's one of those places that always delivers. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, & you can really feel the heart behind the place. I've also known the owner for decades, & she is truly one of the hardest-working & most genuine people I know. She pours so much into her restaurant & it shows in every detail. Beyond that, she's incredibly supportive of the people around her, always lifting up her peers & helping anyone she can. Places like this are special. Great food, great people, & a real sense of community. Highly recommend. 👌

Very disappointed with our experience at Arthur's. We waited in line for quite a while & when a table finally became available, they refused to seat us because one person in our group hadn't arrived yet. Our group was only four people & our friend was literally two minutes away, but instead of letting us sit down & wait, they gave the table to someone else. We then had to wait another 40 minutes for a table.
To make things worse, the server told us we had to wait outside because it was a'fire hazard,' even though there was no longer anyone else waiting inside. It was freezing outside & the way it was handled felt very dismissive.
The service was extremely unpleasant & the staff member we dealt with was quite rude. Overall it was a very frustrating experience & unfortunately we won't be going back. There are so many great restaurants in Montreal with welcoming service, & I would definitely recommend choosing one of those instead.
Arthur's Nosh Bar, l'un des meilleurs endroits à Montréal. La variété du menu est excellente, en particulier le'Shakshuka' & le'Smoked Salmon Bagel' qui font partie de mes favoris. L'atmosphère du lieu est très chaleureuse & confortable, tout en ayant une décoration élégante. Leur café était également délicieux !
Le temps passé à Arthur's Nosh Bar était vraiment agréable. Tout ce que nous avons mangé était très frais & délicieux. L'ambiance était très agréable & relaxante, & la musique était également très agréable. Nous étions également très satisfaits de la rapidité du service & de l'attention du personnel. Les prix sont assez raisonnables & très abordables pour la qualité. Je recommande à tout le monde d'essayer cet endroit!
A cute little breakfast/brunch spot, with retro decor & standard kosher breakfast selection: latkes, creamy scrambled eggs, gravlax on the rye or bagels, & their signature item, an inch thick fluffy syrniki( cheese pancakes). The items on the menu are somewhat limited (as is their coffee selection), but fresh, if a little plain to my taste. It is the service that needs some attention in my opinion.
