Tucked in the charming, residential area of Notre Dame de Grace this bistro style restaurant is a sister concept of the iconic brunch spot; Arthurs Nosh Bar. Influenced by jewish middle eastern cuisine, co-owner Raegan Steinberg and co-owner/chef Alexandre Cohen created a nostalgia filled menu for a casual, relaxed and curated dinner experience.
Arthurs Dinette is described as a warm, stylish spot with comforting, well executed dishes like schnitzel, pierogis, beet salads, burgers, and seafood; the menu is creative yet approachable, with standout items and generous portions; the atmosphere is lively and cozy, not too loud for most but some reviews note that music or crowds can get loud, and seating near doors can be chilly; service is consistently friendly and attentive, with a welcoming vibe from the team; it's clear the team cares; while some prices are noted as on the higher side for a casual dinette, the overall value is seen as fair given quality and energy; reservations are advised as this popular spot fills up and many reviewers express intent to return to try more of the menu.
Went for dinner. Friendly service & good food! Ordered 5 things from the menu (burger not pictured) though our favourites were the Perogies & the beetroot with whipped ricotta! Will definitely come back for those! Next time I would like to order their shrimp!
Overall good addition to the neighborhood, & I'm sure the restaurant will be very successful.
The restaurant is welcoming & decorated with taste. You sit close to the other tables, but it adds to the atmosphere. We were not bothered at all by the people next to us.
Foodwise, this is comfort food done well. Nothing fancy, simple dishes anyone can appreciate but executed well. We had a good meal, our favorite dish was the very generous chicken schnitzel, the burger was also tasty.
However, we did find the menu to be on the pricey side. Every dish felt a few dollars too expensive.
The service was attentive, & I liked their simple but good wine list. We did feel like it was a bit slow at times, we received our appetizers almost 45min after arriving, which is slower than what we're used to.
We'll probably come back in a few months to give it another try.

J'ai essayé les pâtes & le burger, & les deux étaient incroyablement délicieux. La cuisson des pâtes était parfaite, la sauce bien équilibrée, & ça donnait vraiment un côté comfort food. Le burger, lui, était à un autre niveau : la viande était très juteuse & savoureuse, avec un équilibre parfait avec le pain. Un burger qui a l'air simple, mais vraiment très bien exécuté.
L'ambiance de l'endroit est très chaleureuse & conviviale, avec un style diner classique, mais avec une touche moderne. Le service était aussi assez rapide & attentionné.
What a wonderful & welcomed addition to Monkland! The food was fantastic, the beet salad is a must & the burger was memorable. Looking forward to many meals here!
10, 10, 10! Arthur's Dinette is an instant hit.
The restaurant just opened & they're already firing on all cylinders. The food, the service, the ambiance everything was spot on.
We tried the burger, the sea bass, & the Green Goat salad, & every dish was excellent. We wrapped up with the mousse & the cheesecake, both flawless finishes to the meal. The service was warm, attentive, & genuinely welcoming.
They had just run out of the schnitzel, which only gives us the perfect excuse to come back soon. Can't wait for the next visit.

Arthur's is at it again. Bringing their local charm & delicious cuisine back to NDG. You could barely tell this was their first week open, already full & buzzing with locals dying to get some of the coveted chicken schnitzel. The service impressed me as much as the food, attentive, friendly & clearly experienced. The drinks were a high point for me, even if the owner wanted me to add more dirt, my martini was delicious. The burger is going to be competing for the best on the block, & that's saying something. The shrimp appetizer was a great portion, cooked perfectly with a nice spicy cocktail sauce. Looking forward to going back
Had an amazing experience at Arthur's Dinette! The decor & vibe were great, the food was delicious (the pierogies & burger were wow!), & the team was attentive. Can't wait to go back!
