I visited Montreal from Toronto for the first time may 18 & 19 ,2026.
Searched for Bengali restaurant, find this name & had been there. The food was significantly delicious, very clean The owner Rumi vaai & admin girl Khadija was amazing.
Hope this restaurant will more bigger & we will enjoy our authentic Bengali food always.

Amazing comfort food! Sharif made us feel just right at home. Gave us more food than we ordered & let me tell you, it was phenomenal! A true hidden gem in Montreal! Highly highly recommended if you are craving authentic Bengali cuisine.
I recently visited APPAYON - Cuisine Bangladeshi, & honestly, it was an amazing experience.
The ambience is one of the best parts of this place very warm, calm, & welcoming. It really gives you a comfortable, homely feeling. The service was also excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, & made sure everything was perfect.
I tried their kichuri combo with beef, & it was absolutely delicious. The kichuri was full of flavor, with vegetables mixed in perfectly. Every bite gave that proper deshi taste, something that's hard to find outside home.
The beef curry was the best for me. It was honestly one of the best curry I've had in Canada. Not too oily, very well-balanced spices, & the meat was cooked perfectly. It really felt like a homemade deshi curry.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Montreal & looking for authentic Bangladeshi food. Everything is very reasonably priced compared to the taste & quality. This place truly feels like home.
If you are looking for authentic Bengali cuisine in Montreal I would highly recommend Appayon! We ordered 1) Appayon special combo( 8.5/10) 2) beef tehari (8/10) (beef was soft & tender) 3) shutki vorta - (6.5/10) (it was not that spicy) 4) rup chada mach - (7.5/10) 5) beef bhuna (8.5/10) 6) dudh cha (8.5/10) Portion size is good & the food was really yummy! Staff & service was good . Price is reasonable. ** Their appayon special roast was too good just like Bangladesh's bie barir roast.

This made us feel like home. I absolutely enjoyed the dishes & the hospitality. I am originally from New York City, a Bangladeshi American. To get the taste of authentic Bangladeshi food like this in Montreal was a good experience. I 100% recommend this place.

Two years of wait later I finally made time to see the only Bangali restaurant in Montreal! Appayon is a hidden gem that transported us straight to the heart of Bengali cuisine. The flavors at Appayon are spectacular. Each dish bursts with authenticity, carrying the aroma of Bangladeshi cuisine. The menu is a delightful blend of traditional & contemporary dishes. We went as a group so we could try a variety of beef tehari, goru bhuna, morog polao & biriyani, all of which were perfectly crispy & savory. We also paired with fish, cutlets, kebab & bhorta, which were rich, creamy, & bursting with flavor. the chaa made my day! The portions are hearty, satisfying, & perfect for sharing. one of the very few Bengali restaurants in Mtl, was pretty excited when I first tried the authentic platter with white rice , alu bhorta & dal & they didnt disappoint. But as I started trying their other meals, altho the taste takes me back to my home country, the oil might take me to the hospital. Too much oil in every meal, muglai was overheated by dipping in oil again & the price is really really overpriced also mandatory tips was very disappointing too

Chicken roast & pulaow were very close to authentic Bangladeshi taste. Their fish & beef dishes were also delicious. The washroom was clean & impressive. I would be happy to visit here again."
