This is a great brunch spot in this area of Montreal! There is always a line though, we went at 1:30 pm & we had to wait for 30 minutes for a seat so I suggest to go early. Other than this, the attention is great, it is a small & cozy place, it looks kind of crowded but thats the vibe.
Food is amazing, can't go wrong with anything, favorite was the tiramisu latte!

Nous avons récemment visité L'Antipode pour un brunch & avons commandé un chocolat chaud, la boisson saisonnière, ainsi qu'une fondue au chocolat accompagnée de bananes, fraises, chamallows & petites crêpes. Le total pour deux personnes s'élevait à 65 $.
Bien que les avis sur les autres plats soient excellents, nous ne pouvons malheureusement pas recommander la fondue au chocolat. Le prix est beaucoup trop élevé pour la qualité offerte. Le chocolat était excessivement huileux, les crêpes étaient très froides, presque congelées, & il y avait très peu de fruits. Cependant, les boissons étaient délicieuses.
Nous espérons que notre expérience était une exception & que les autres plats sont à la hauteur des excellents avis que nous avons lus.
4.5/5 ⭐️ We visited on a Sunday for brunch so it was very busy. We waited outside for about 30 minutes then once we were seated it took about 45-60 mins to get our food. I can't blame the service since I could tell they were trying their best with how busy it was! We got our drinks, a pistachio latte & nutella smarties drink, soon after ordering & they were phenomenal. It might be the best drink I've had & it was very aesthetic! We had the chakchouka classique & champignon & truffle eggs benedict - the only critique I have is that the sauce used for the eggs benedict has anchovies so my partner could not try the otherwise vegetarian dish. The chakchouka was vegetarian & I like how they included a side of hummus & olives as well. As a dessert we had the pain du perdu which was incredible. I'm not a fan of French toast but wow! The outside was crunchy & reminiscent of cinnamon sugar churros & the inside was soft. It seems the bread is made in house. It came with a variety of toppings as well & was very beautifully plated. I would recommend this to anyone wanting something sweet during brunch hours. So, although we had to wait a long time, the service was very friendly & the food was absolutely worth it. It makes sense that it was so busy! If possible I would try to come back on a weekday & also try the teatime menu.
Tasty brunch spot in the plateau! Not the restaurant's fault, but if you arrive around 10am on weekends the wait will likely be 45 mins - 1 hour. The food & drinks are great though so if you are a brunch person then worth the wait!

Latte pistache iconique & toutes les boissons, assiette pain doré Yuzu excellente!!! Un de me coups de coeurs pour les brunchs. Excellent service à la clientèle (chakchouka un peu ordinaire, croque madame pas trop apprécié par plusieurs amis)
Restaurant sympathique pour bruncher à Montréal avec une ambiance chaleureuse & trendy. Malheureusement les plats manquaient tout de même d'équilibre & de raffinement.
Excellent endroit pour un excellent brunch ! Toujours aussi bon & original. Un très bon moment passé. Attention il faut être là à l'ouverture pour espérer avoir une table !
Cute brunch spot. The staff is friendly. They are really popular on tiktok. Since they don't take reservations for brunch, do expect to wait 30-45 minutes. Groups of 2 usually get to sit faster.
Malgré une attente plutôt longue pour pouvoir être assis à une table (45 min environ), le brunch vaut vraiment le coup ! La qualité des plats comme des boissons est au rendez-vous ! Le cadre est également très agréable.
actually the best food, definitely the best brunch i've had in montreal. it was super busy & the line was like 45 minutes long, so they brought out chocolate croissant while everyone waited, it was really nice & it tasted amazing
C'est populaire donc on fait la file pour manger. Au coeur du Plateau sur la magnifique rue Laurier est, ce restaurant changera vos brunch ordinaires. J'ai partagé un salé - sucré avec un délicieux chakchouka & des pancakes en gâteau éponge aux saveurs coco, passion. Oui, il y a de l'attente mais c'est tellement bon que le brunch est devenu l'activité de l'après-midi.
