Antipode is described as a highly popular, visually striking brunch spot in Montreal with generous portions, creative flavor combinations, and standout drinks like a pistachio latte that many call a must try. The place is frequently crowded, especially on weekends, which leads to long lines and waiting times, though service is often praised as attentive when seated. The menu covers a wide range from shakshouka and multiple takes on eggs benedict to croquettes d'aubergine, croque madame, chicken and waffles, and indulgent desserts like pain perdu and yuzu French toast, with plates praised for presentation and many noting bold, sometimes salty or sweet flavors and some items considered overpriced for the portion. Beverages are repeatedly highlighted as a highlight, with pistachio and tiramisu lattes noted for aesthetics and flavor, and the restaurant is appreciated by halal diners. The ambiance is described as cozy, rustic chic and very instagrammable, but the space can feel cramped and noisy during peak hours; lines can form even on quieter days, though many say the wait is worth it. Overall, reviews position Antipode as a top or must visit brunch destination in Montreal, valued for its creative culinary approach and striking drinks, while acknowledging occasional inconsistencies in service or value and the high price point.
The chai latte was good, but too sweet tho. The eggs Benedict sauce was different, & the amount of steak was decent. The chicken was crispy for the chicken & waffle with good flavours. The service was fast, & the staff were kind. Line up can get long quick depending what days you go for brunch.
Definitely the place to be!
If you are looking for a great brunch place with high quality taste & creative culinary, this is the place to be.
Ive been here several times & so far no other place beats it!!
Their specialties are the Benedicts & the lattés (but also everything else is super good & special)
I recommend taking any of the egg benedict choices & the bueno latte (hot) & the tiramisu latte (frappe)
So far we ve tried the Benedicts, the shakshouka, the croque mr & croque mme & different lattes. Everything is super good. There is definitely no disappointment in this place.
The service is remarkable!! The staff is always smiling, happy & super nice!!
Even when the place is overly crowded they will make sure to accommodate all your needs & make sure you're hapoy & satisfied! They would never accept you leaving unhappy for anythg!
This place is a 5 stars!

Great place for brunch! The food looks amazing & tastes even better. We had the salmon Benedict, shakshuka, croque madame, & the special pain perdu. The drinks, especially the tiramisu & Bueno lattes, were delicious. Service was great - a small delay in drinks, but the manager offered us a complimentary cocktail. Highly recommend!
It's been a while since I've been to an actual delicious brunch that serves dishes with more complexity & layers. Nothing is boring on their menu & it makes me wanna come back again & try other things. This place has lineups so come early & if possible, on a weekday. They are opening a second bigger location soon.
Cute little brunch spot on Laurier! We arrived at 9:30 with no lineup, but by the time we left, there was a long line, so come early if you don't want to wait. It's a small restaurant (~30 seats inside) with a nice terrace. Even though they were busy, the service was friendly & we never felt rushed.
The pistachio latte was perfect - just the right level of sweetness without being too much. I had the croque caprese, which was delicious, especially with the crispy cheese around the plate adding a nice salty crunch.
A cozy neighborhood gem worth trying if you're in the area for brunch!
Heard a lot of buzz about this place, so I finally went for brunch one afternoon. The seating is a little cramped & not ideal for kids, if you ask me. I always like places with a small menu, so they can nail everything they make. The food was alright, & the drinks looked cool. We got a bunch of drinks, & they all tasted pretty unique, which was a surprise. The fried chicken was a bit overcooked & the meat on the eggs benedict was a bit dry, but not deal breakers. It's worth checking out if you're in the area, but there are some other good spots around there too. P.S.: Expect to stand in line for a bit to get in if you cannot make it the first hour of when it opens.

The french toast was out of this world! The salmon egg benedict was a bit too salty.
I would come back just for the french toast honestly.
The service was okay, not the best, & I feel like ice in water should be custom, especially in the summer.
The biscoff latte was delicious, although not really strong in coffee.
Overall nice experience, i would need to try other stuff on their menu to see if this place is overrated.
One thing for sure is it is kind of expensive, but brunch in mtl usually is.

Overrated & disappointing. Definitely not worth the 2.5 hour wait. The service was especially frustrating, after we spoke up about being seated first, our waiter intentionally took the order of a table that arrived after us, further delaying ours. Completely unprofessional. The food itself was just average, nothing memorable. There are far better brunch spots in Montreal with much better service. Wouldn't return.
Definitely worth the wait! Went here during the snow storm & had to wait for more than an hour but did not disappoint! By far the best brunch place. Food is to die for 💯

Really cute brunch place. The most aesthetic & delicious lattes. They were perfectly sweet but not overly. The food was delicious & when we arrived at 9:45am there wasn't a line but after 10am it got very busy & was a big line! A bit pricey but worth the visit!
Best Brunch spot I've been to. Alex was phenomenal at helping us decide what to order. Thank you for the amazing service & the delicious benedicts, coffee, & pain perdue 😍
