Nice place. Reservations recommended.
Service was top notch with both somelier & server being quite knowledgeable.
Quite an extensive wine list including some rare bottles.
Food was so-so, though I did enjoy the fried mushrooms. Porc short ribs were good as well, but we tried several other dishes. They just lacked the pizzaz.View more
Fantastic service, they let us bring the dog to the patio & it was a lovely meal outside. We had the set course & the staff were lovely to chat with & we had a great meal. The food was delicious, with fresh, in season ingredients. They also had great wine suggestions to pair!View more
Creative but precisely crafted food. Beef tartare & macreuse are a must for meat lovers. Wine selection is good & cover a large range. Service attentive & courteous, we needed several hit & miss trials to find the right wine for our tastebuds & were patiently accommodated :)View more
Food was great but overpriced, IMO. Staff was great, service impeccable. Wine choice okay but 23$ for a 3 Oz wine glass was kinda criminal. If your looking for a fun place to talk to friend in montreal great place but make sure your friend's know it's gona be 100$ each minimum. On a side note everyone on the street got a parking ticket that night including me. No parking on that side from 8 to 9 pm...View more
The service is friendly, knowledgeable & very welcoming. The wine menu has great variety & range. Cocktails were not particularly memorable. For the price of freshness, I was expecting a bit refinement in their food preparation but there were lots of deep fried, & general flavour was bland. It felt that crunchiness was making up for taste, somehow. Lots of nightshades veggies, be aware of you are allergic.View more
Service was really great. Staff was super helpful & proposing wines, pairings & all. The spot is nice & makes for a cozy & fun experience. Food was honestly a hit & miss. The quality of the ingredients were second to none but the overall offering & the way the menu is structured lets a lot to be desired... Since ( I think ) the menu is build around seasonnal & local ingredients (which is great), many ingredients are repeated in many dishes. So if you don't like some ingredients, you might have to skip 4 or 5 items on the menu. Might not be a problem for some but might be problematic for others. Also, the menu descriptions are so basic that you might not get exactly what you were looking for. For example, they have a fresh pea dip with feta. It was tasty & fresh & everything, but the dish was covered in fresh mint. So every bite tasted like mint. If you don't like mint, you just wasted 16$ on a dish you won't enjoy. Same goes for another dish, the tempura zucchini flowers that are stuffed with some cheese. It's covered in caviar or something similar. The caviar is definitely there to justify the price, yet not mentioned on the menu. Also, some dishes, who are tapas style & meant to be shared, aren't really sharable. Like those zucchini flowers. They come as 3. 3 shares well with 3 person & that's it! The menu should be more descriptive & includes more details. Just naming 3 ingredients might look really fancy & edgy, but it is not very fonctionnal for guests with dietary restrictions or people who don't like certain ingredients or who are closely watching what they eat. I'll go back as the wine selection is great & allows to taste wines who are not readily available elsewhere (SAQ) but I'll definitely need to triple check the menu & ask a ton of questions next time.View more
Very nice cozy space in the Angus Shop area. Let's start with the wine selection. They have a nice wine list with a lot of private imports. The food is more tapas style. The menu is small, but everything is well prepared. The service is friendly. The staff is attentive to your needs & will never let you have an empty glass (which is a +++ on happy hours!). The sommelier is knowledgeable & will have great recommendations to pair with your snacks. Overall, this is a beautiful place for a chill upscaled happy hour or night out. The vibe & decor makes it very welcoming!View more
