Alep continues to be one of Montreal's most popular restaurants, & it's easy to see why. The service was excellent throughout our visit-friendly, attentive, & welcoming from start to finish. I would highly recommend making a reservation, as the restaurant is always busy & fills up quickly.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, although it can get quite loud when it's full. The menu offers a huge variety of options, but first-time visitors may find the layout a little confusing to navigate.

We started with the hummus, which was absolutely incredible. It was wonderfully creamy with a rich olive-forward flavour & a depth that made it hard to stop eating. We also tried the moutabal, which was smooth, creamy, & tangy with an almost yogurt-like texture that was very enjoyable.

My husband ordered the Chiche Taouk, while I chose the Chiche Kebab with filet mignon. Both dishes were packed with flavour & the quality of the meat was excellent. The only challenge was that they were a little awkward to eat as served-too messy for hands, yet difficult to tackle neatly with a fork & knife. That said, I would absolutely order either dish again; I'd just assemble & eat it a little differently next time.

For dessert, we shared the Knafé Bel Coco. The crispy fried vermicelli topping was easily the highlight & absolutely delicious. The coconut base was tasty as well, although the texture varied somewhat throughout the dessert, with some areas being thicker than others. The fruit topping wasn't quite to my personal taste, but I would happily order this dessert again & simply skip the fruit.

Overall, Alep offers fantastic food, warm service, & a lively atmosphere. Between the outstanding hummus, flavourful mains, & unique desserts, it's a restaurant well worth visiting.

Our first time & what a wonderful experience! We knew that they had vegan options but did not know that they offered a vegan tasting menu! Everything was delicious with plenty of flavours. Excellent friendly accommodating service. Sorbet for dessert capped off a great meal. Tasting menu is 45$-50$ per person. Well worth it.

For the price, I expected the food to have bolder flavours & have more variety in terms of the texture in each bite. I got the sea bass & I preferred it in other restaurants. The flavours they went with I found were more on the bland side. I preferred the mudjadara then the sea bass cause it was more flavourful. I remember petit alep had better flavours so would need to go back there to re-confirm.

Wow, this restaurant experience blew us away. We didn't feel like making any decisions tonight besides where we ate, & our server Mirka chose the perfect dishes to quench our thirst for the fresh flavours of Syria & Armenia. Thank you sweet server, & thank you to the rest of the service team for your attentiveness & smiles!! MUAH

This is one of Montreal's best restaurant & absolute gems. The wine list is superb & every dish is packed with flavours that are hard to find anywhere else. The service is incredible with a quality that has been pasted down for generations. This place has become a must whenever I'm in Montreal.
