Review Summary

Alaturca Restaurant Turc receives praise for authentic Turkish cuisine, generous portions, and friendly, attentive service. Diners mention house made bread, fresh soups such as mercimek corbasi and mantı, and standout dishes including iskender kebab and doner, all prepared with care and vibrant flavors. The atmosphere is described as cozy and welcoming, with Turkish music and a partly open kitchen that highlights hygiene and professionalism. Guests note that prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and quality, and many describe a family friendly vibe and a culture rich dining experience. Service is often described as fast and courteous, though a few reviews warn that peak times can bring crowds and slower service. Cleanliness is repeatedly highlighted, including spotless dining areas and restrooms, and many diners say they would return and recommend it. Overall the restaurant is seen as a top Turkish option in Montreal, delivering consistent quality, generous servings, and warm hospitality that make guests feel at home.

While visiting Montreal, we just stop by without any expectations. I have seen many restaurants tagged as Turkish restaurants with average food but we have really liked everything we ate here. I have seen some comments about the behavior which I will totally disagree with. We tried Lentil soup, Kunefe, lahmajun & cheese pide & all is unexpectedly good. I really wanted to try kebabs but we were full. Next time perhaps... Place was nice & clean.

Food is your standard Turkish fare from the St-Leonard area. The salads, the bulgur & the chicken are good. Fries are frozen type, would be much better if freshly cut. Overall, worth it. Update: Went back & the place looks much nicer than its predecessor's. New owner is kind, unlike the rude former owner & has remodelled the place which looks cleaner & brighter.
