Amazing day with the family here playing board games & buying modelsand paints. The staff were fantastic at helping with game selection & rules. They were great with our 1 year old. Good food & drink selection. Wished I could have brought my army & used the tables & terrian downstairs!!!
This is the place every gamer needs to visit in Montreal. Wide selection of tabletop & board games, including games that are hard to find, a great paint & hobby tool section, & a good selection of used models for sale make this a great one-stop-shop for all your hobby needs. Mix in a full restaurant & gaming spaces & you've got an experience most stores dream of offering. The staff are also wonderful & very helpful.
Very nice place, & lots of selection on many paints & minis. I came specifically for the armypaints fanatic section just to find that about half of the stock was missing & I couldnt find the colors I needed. Asked for when there should be a restock, I was given no answer… little dissapointed
I swing by every once in a while to buy paints & Warhammer models. Never had any problems until today & I'm still disappointed by today's interaction. I picked up some paints & decided to stop by the restaurant. I order a virgin drink & a burger. The waitress brought me back an alcohol filled drink, then rushed back as I was drinking me to inform me that it had alcohol in it, she took it & swapped it out for a virgin drink. The food was brought to me, a burger & fries. The fries were fine, but the burger wasn't cooked all the way through & was cold. No wait staff had followed up with me about the food, so I walked up with my coat on ready to leave & I had to bring the food to them. When I told them & showed them, they offered to make another burger, but I was ready to leave. I got told by the wait staff that if there's a problem next time to'raise my hand' & they'd come fix it. No apologies. They charged me full price for the mixed up drink & undercooked, cold burger.
Saying I'm unhappy is an understatement.
Huge space but most paint racks or tool racks are empty. Although, I was able to find what I was looking for.
My favorite hobby store, with a huge variety of minis, paints, hobby tools & diorama effects. I wish they restocked the Vallejo & ProAcryl paints more often, but I understand that there may not be as big of a demand for them compared to Citadel.
Great store & great prices. They know their stuff when it comes to Warhammer. Excellent selection of paints, too, & to top it all off, they carry used miniatures! Give them a visit, it's very much worth it.
This is a great game pub! Unlike some game pubs, it’s well lit so you can see what you’re playing. The sound is lively but not so loud that you can’t hear yourself think.
The food is good & varied & the drinks are well made.
The games store has a great selection of board games & miniature games with decent discounts. There’s a huge selection of paints.
I can’t recommend l’Abyss enough!
Great place to play games, paint minis, or just shop for specialty items you can't find anywhere else. Hosted multiple work events here & will definitely be coming back.
