From the booking to the actual event the team was really helpful & friendly.
Food, drinks & atmosphere were really good.
They have tons of games & the entree fee is really not expensive compared to the other places.

Jai participer au Tournoi Amical organisé Claudia le 9/4/26. Les règles étaient un peu confus & chaotique au début lors de l'annonce sur facebook mais l'ambiance & le déroulement étaient bien organisés & bien animés par Nicolas. L'interview de Dylan & Noemie lorsquelles ont donné & présenter les prix etaient superbe! J'ai ete content & heureux d'inviter les amis a participer a cette événement. Par contre je tiens a suggérer les point suivant : 15 swap au lieu de 10 permettra plus de liberté sans trop en autoriser. Avec 10 swap seulement jai ete satisfait mais jaurais aimer avoir quelques swap de plus pour me permettre plus de flexibilité. Donc le chiffre 15 me semble parfait. Également un point très important pas de game changer serait le plus agréable pour un tournoi « Amical ». L'absence de game changer éviterait les bracket4&+ ce qui serait vraiment intéressant pour ce type d'événement. On a été une vingtaine de joueur ce soir mais je suis sur qu'avec de la meilleure publicité on aurait pu être tellement plus! Si jaimie & Alexandre Lewyn mavait pas parler de l'événement je n'aurais pas été au courant. Je nai vu aussi Aucune publicité sur facebook pour un événement aussi prometteur que celui-ci je trouve ca dommage. L'abyss a le potentiel d'avoir une salle le jeudi soir qui rivalise avec les sales que le ftf ont je pense bien. L'équipe ce dirige vers la bonne direction il ne faut pas lâcher.
Amazing place to play miniature games & meet people. The shop is also well stocked with many things & it's usually hard to leave with buying something... a new paint, used mini or anything related to the miniature wargaming hobby ^^
I come here every week, it is honestly the best game bar in montreal! Better than randolph 100%. The workers are so sweet & nice & they go above & beyond to make your experience enjoyable. (Shoutout Arthur & the owner).
Theres no entry fee! You only have to buy a consommation which is fair for the experience. They are willing to help you find a good game if they are not too busy!
The food is good for the price & they have a nice selection of games!
I cannot get tired of this place!
Since i come every week the menu is becoming redundant but if you come once in a while you will be very happy of the food & the games.
Update: there is now an entry fee of 7$ but that includes animation!
They still have 2 days of the week that they make it free so its truly accessible for everyone!
The meat is halal! So more people can enjoy it! :p
Would not recommend this place ENOUGH! They are so lovely & friendly, please go have fun!

Abyss has cemented itself as the go go game store, boardgame bar & wargaming center for anyone looking to play a tabletop RPG. Me & a few friends play Warhammer 40k here exclusively, due to the large tables, massive terrain collection, friendly staff & good food.
They take feedback well, recently adding delicious truffle fries & a routinely consistent menu.
Arthur is our regular server & makes an effort to remember our names & always be joyous & polite. This is a quality level of service unseen in Montreal.
There is no better place to play a tabletop rpg like warhammer 40k with friends in Montreal.
Great store alot of great games there from board games to table top games & card games. Also have alot of hobby tools & paints. Also the pub to hang out & get some food & a drink.
Went to the MTG Lorwyn Eclipsed prerelease. Great atmosphere, strong turnout (~30 players), & excellent prize support (two packs per win), which kept people engaged.
My only concern is food & bar service happening right beside gameplay. I usually avoid prerelease at Abyss & ordering food for that reason, but decided to try a burger instead of stepping out.
It was just my luck that the apprehensive me experienced a server accidentally dropped mayonnaise on my school bag. They were apologetic & did their best to clean it, clearly an accident. The scary part was that my bag contained two binders of high-value cards. If it had been open, it could've been devastating. Thankfully, the cards were fine.
The bag is now stained (mayo in the zipper), which is disappointing. While I understand mistakes happen, some small gesture (like comping the meal) would've been appreciated, but none was offered.
Excellente ambiance & animateurs, je suis venu un dimanche pour apprendre à jouer à Warhammer 40k, & j'y ai passé toute l'après midi, sans voir le temps passer, & fait ma première game en ayant énormément de fun! Merci à toute l'équipe de l'Abyss
The animator was vibrant. Explained multiple times in different ways. Showed patience even when it was obvious they were pressed for time (they had to move table to table to handle up to 4 tables by themselves).
Server needs to practice memorizing the menu, however they came back to explain regarding two similar drink options (appreciated). Had a softer approach & still showed confidence.
I had requested the animator sit with us to explain games instead of kneeling at the table for their comfort. Personally I find it more respectful. I prefer everyone is treated fairly.
The paladin grill cheese was decent. Tomato soup was too thick, too acidic. Didn't finish it. Chai latte was ok. Tried to finish it. Grilled cheese caramelized onions was good, poutine was boring but clean (like a sterile home made version). Chef salad was ok. Overall food is ok. The place was clean & spacious. I think there's a section where visitors can buy materials & games.

Delicious food & terrific board game sommeliers! Bring your friends to try all they have to offer, perfect for birthday parties & adventuring parties. Check out their selection of rpg supplies as well, some official & a great many homegrown.
Good pub menu & drink selection, plenty of board games to play, well stocked with fantasy/sci fi & WW2 historical wargaming products. Has a dedicated gaming area downstairs for miniature wargames & card games. Staff is very friendly
Amazing day with the family here playing board games & buying modelsand paints. The staff were fantastic at helping with game selection & rules. They were great with our 1 year old. Good food & drink selection. Wished I could have brought my army & used the tables & terrian downstairs!!!
A really great gaming center & restaurant. Densely packed with cool games to play or buy. Particularly impressed with the highly knowledgeable & friendly bilingual staff. Food is quite good. ( winter menu) & prices reasonable. Great place to game with friends, family or coworkers.
