We went for lunch with a group from work. The food was really great & everyone ate until we were full. The plates are not big, especially the meat plates which are quite small, but SO good! We had to re-order rice & bread & the best butter chicken I have ever eaten. The Patek Paneer was also quite good. Everything was excellent. Great service & was also quick, as we told then it was our lunch break. I definetly recommend!
Love the authenticity of this restaurant. Love there naan bread, there lentil soup & there fish is crazy. We when with a big group & the service was good. My wife & I also tried other restaurant of the sort on the same street & 786 is the best of the bunch.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!
One of my favorites for authentic Pakistani food! My personal favorite is their chicken wrap sandwich which is made with the best boneless chicken tikka's, oozing with flavour & so well done wrapped in a delicious naan bread.
I also suggest: Mango Lassi or Mango Shake- chicken Byryani, Seekh Kebabs, Butter chicken YUMMMM
As far as Pakistani food goes, this is one of my personal favs in Mtl.
Among the meals tried there, I have a soft spot for the Ginger's mutton Karahi dish
(I prefer it over the Achar's one which is also good) -> the meat was oozing of a nice savourish mouthsome (tender & tasty, it was so well marinated) & spiced up to perfection with some memorable lite coriander & gingery fresh flavors. High marks to the great nan bread that I picked along. There shouldn't be that much to brag about Nan breads, but this one of theirs was
miles ahead in terms of execution: light & airy with a perfect slight chewy crust, it was packed with an incredibly fresh-baked aroma. Stunned!
High notes as well for couple of menu items I had there throughout couple of visits: lobiya Masala (tasted it just once -> all flavorful sauce & overall delicious), their chicken tikkah (very tasty), the dal keema (as equally savourish).
The decor is one type I like as well: small, cozy, it looks a bit like an authentic laid back (& yet clean & cute) bistro.
