325 F - Cuisine de Madagascar is repeatedly described as a warm, cozy neighborhood spot in Montreal that serves authentic Malagasy cuisine with soulful, vibrant flavors, generous portions and affordable prices, with the option to bring your own wine. Reviews highlight a comforting atmosphere and a family run vibe, where the staff are friendly and attentive and the kitchen delivers a range of dishes from ravitoto and rougail saucisses to coconut chicken curry and canard a la vanille, along with mango salad, nems, samosas and beignets, plus memorable desserts and manioc sweets. Several diners note careful preparation, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming interaction from the mother of the owner, which adds to a homey, celebratory mood. While decor, lighting and pace during busy times are sometimes mentioned as areas for improvement, the overall consensus is that the cuisine brings Madagascar to Montreal in a way that feels traditional and inviting, making this restaurant a standout for anyone curious about Malagasy flavors.
Everything was great, we tried 4 different dishes, as appetizers mango salad & samosas beef, both great & as main dishes coconut chicken, ravitoto & 2 others plus dessert the one with a icecream scope. A must try! Also we asked for spicy sauce & they brought us something homemade, super spicy & so good it could be addictive! Bryan was the chef & he came to the table to ask for our feedback, definitely a a good cozy spot to try in Montreal.
4 of us enjoyed a few appetizers & a main each. Flavours were exotic & blended nicely with the ample portion of rice. The host was considerate & helpful in choosing our dishes. The atmosphere is simple & relaxed.
Wow!

The food was absolutely amazing - truly soul-nourishing. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, & the flavors were unforgettable. I also loved the interior décor & all the little details; they made the space feel warm, intentional, & inviting. Overall, it was a beautiful experience, & I would definitely come back again.
The only Malagasy restaurant in a 6 hour radius of Boston, highly worth the trip! Great, authentic dishes made by a Malagasy chef. They had one of my favorite treats, koba/mofo ravina! Highly recommend
