Review Summary

The Jean Talon Market is widely regarded as a vibrant and essential destination in Montreal, celebrated for its extensive variety of fresh, local produce, artisanal cheeses, and diverse culinary offerings. Many visitors highlight the lively atmosphere, friendly vendors, and the opportunity to support local farmers, making it a beloved spot for both grocery shopping and enjoying prepared meals like crêpes, seafood, and pastries. While the experience is generally praised for its quality and cultural richness, some feedback notes that prices can be high and that it can become quite crowded during peak times. Whether visiting during the abundant summer and autumn seasons or the quieter winter months, most agree that it remains a must-see landmark that captures the unique spirit of the city.

We love Jean Talon Market! We love the range of produce & unique, hard to find foods. We loved Chez Louie & the brick & mortar Poisonnerie. We were able to get fresh lavender, zucchini blossoms, fresh truffles, les pets de Soeur treats. Yum!

Great vendors for both dishes to eat there, or groceries.
