Its origins are still controversial between Spain, the Caribbean, and South America. To this day, it is the emblematic drink of Portugal and Spain.
The original and most widespread recipe is the red one, composed of a base of red wine in which slices of fruit are macerated with spices, carbonated water, and/or lemonade. Subsequently, several variants have appeared, the most famous of which are the white and the rosé sangria.
