Sugar brings happiness, Sweet as sugar, sweeter than salt... all good terms to talk about: DESSERTS! A decadent afternoon snack or to finish a meal, there are many choices in Montreal. Here are our best addresses for a great sweet tour through the city.
124, rue St-Viateur O, Montreal, H2T 2L1
Dessert can also be a snack, can't it? We suggest you stop by Café Olimpico in Mile End for a good Italian coffee, a creamy tiramisu, chocolate or pistachio-filled bomboloni, homemade biscotti, or a Nutella cone. Enjoy the terrace if the weather is nice, it feels good!
4350, rue Notre Dame O, Montreal, H4C 2W6
Fresh churros made every day? On your next visit to the St-Henri neighborhood, make a mandatory stop at Tacos Frida to taste 2-3 churros, with the famous dulce de leche sauce. You will see them as soon as you enter Tacos Frida: they are displayed in a small window on the counter.

Who says decadent dessert, says Juliette et Chocolat! Born from a real passion for chocolate and a desire to share it with young and old, this restaurant offers chocolate in many forms. Hot chocolate, chocolate fudge, brownies and ice cream, pancakes, Liège waffles, fondues, cakes... There is no shortage of variety! We suggest you take it all with a good glass of milk ;)
23, rue Bernard O, Montreal, H2T 2J6
Up to 120 kilos of flour per day transformed into doughnuts, it's certainly Bernie Beigne! There is something for everyone, from the classic glazed, to the creamy boston, to the famous froot loops! The store's window makes our mouths water, we see glazed donuts, hot and fresh. A must on Bernard Street.
11798, boul. de Salaberry, West Island (Montreal), H9B 2R8
On the West Island, everyone knows the Jukebox! For different reasons, this restaurant has become very popular; you feel like you're in the 50s because of the atmosphere and the decor. There is an ice cream counter where you can choose the ice cream that will be in your milkshake. The whole family can enjoy it, and it's as decadent as can be!
5091, rue de lanaudière, Montreal, H2J 3P9
In the Mile-End, right next to Laurier Park, Pâtisserie Rhubarbe does not go unnoticed at all! A very popular place to eat unique desserts with seasonal flavors. Know-how that comes in many forms; a grapefruit pavlova with black tea, a caramelized honey cake, a 1000 sheets with vanilla and caramel whipped cream, and our favorite: a lemon pie with a memorable Italian meringue.

We love this restaurant for the good Spanish tapas, but we also love it for the dessert at the end of the meal! We have a choice between 4 different desserts, and frankly, the choice is always heartbreaking! We'll let you dream a little, either a Catalan-style crème brûlée, chocolate churros, a Spanish-style French toast, or the dessert plate of sweet cheese, honey, figs, oranges, and pine nuts. Which one makes you want it the most?

Classic natas, Oreo natas, Nutella natas, and peanut butter natas... We love it at Cantine Emilia! A glimpse of vacation in Portugal, we let ourselves be guided by the Pasteis de Natas freshly prepared and oh so delicious! Difficult to stop after just one, we suggest you try two different kinds. Your craving for sugar will be satisfied!

Absolutely all of the ice creams at Kem Coba have something to make you gurgle. Rare are the times that there is no line in front of this business: it is so popular! However, the line moves fast, don't worry! Especially since it's worth the wait, I promise. They offer one kind of soft ice cream per week and several choices of hard ice cream at all times. Pssst! They opened on April 30th for the 2022 season (Fairmont branch), much to our delight!
