On Saturday, June 14th, 2025, Montréal-Nord will host the 9th edition of the Festival des Boulettes, a festive culinary event organized by Les Fourchettes de l'Espoir. This friendly competition showcases meatball recipes inspired by various cultures and encourages community sharing.
Under the honorary presidency of Ms. Chantal Rossi, City Councillor of Montréal, participants in the citizen category must present an original meatball recipe (made with meat, fish, vegetables, etc.) that represents a country or region.
Each recipe will be judged by a panel of professionals and tasted by the public from 11:30am to 3:30pm.
Participants must prepare 200 tasting portions and will receive $100 to help cover preparation costs. Prizes to be awarded include:
• 1st Prize: $600
• 2nd Prize: $400
• 3rd Prize: $300
• People's Choice Award: $200
• "Cultural Inspiration" Award: $200
