Tried the Double Yumi Cheeseburger. It was a pretty solid burger overall. The patty was flavorful & juicy, pairing really well with the cheddar cheese. I just wish the patty had a bit more of a charred, smoky flavor. That said, it's still a decent burger, just slightly overpriced for what you get. Atmosphere is clean, & service was pretty quick.

My wife & I embarked on a delightful outing to downtown Montreal with the sole purpose of meeting up with our daughter. We planned to indulge in a quick & satisfying meal, a task that posed some challenges due to our limited time constraints. After a brief discussion, we unanimously agreed that burgers were the optimal choice for our on-the-go lunch. Naturally, the thought of McDonald's was dismissed given its bustling lunchtime crowd. At the same time, opting for a high-end burger establishment seemed impractical as it would undoubtedly consume more time than we could afford.
Thankfully, our daughter came to the rescue with a fantastic recommendation: Yumi Burger, conveniently situated at 1448 Rue Mackay in the heart of Montreal. What made this burger joint particularly intriguing was its specialization in smash burgers. What's more, it was situated in an area that held nostalgic significance for me, as it was near my old stomping grounds around Concordia University. Upon entering the restaurant, I was instantly struck by the youthful ambiance reminiscent of a college crowd. Surprisingly, this atmosphere didn't bother me in the least; in fact, it added a unique charm to the dining experience.

Following our daughter's suggestion, we decided to indulge in Yumi Burger's signature cheeseburger, aptly named the Yumi cheeseburger. With the decision made, we placed our orders, each of us selecting the same mouthwatering burger accompanied by a side of fries & a refreshing beverage. What pleasantly surprised me was the affordability of the bill. Despite the decadence of the meal, the overall cost for the three of us was comparable to what one might spend at a typical fast-food establishment. This was a far cry from the exorbitant prices often associated with upscale burger restaurants.
With our plates before us, we collectively marveled at the sight of our well-crafted burgers. Each comprised a single patty adorned with fresh lettuce, succulent caramelized onions, delectably sautéed mushrooms, & the pièce de resistance: the secret Yumi sauce. Despite my initial skepticism, I was genuinely delighted by the taste of my burger. The flavors harmonized beautifully, resulting in a culinary delight that exceeded my expectations. The accompanying crispy fries proved to be a delightful complement to the main course, elevating the overall dining experience to new heights.

The staff were pleasant, & patient! My daughter had the Yumi with cheese & mine was without! The smash was perfect! Being her first real'smash burger'- she is hooked & her standards are set high! The crispy edge was exactly 💯 what you want! The burgers come standard with lettuce, tomatoes & their own'Yumi' sauce- which we both kept as is! Great choice! Just a tiny kick that pairs well with the fresh lettuce & tomatoes on the freshest bun to soak everything up! The fries were lightly seasoned & crisp!
We sat on the roadside patio- it was shaded by the buildings- & breezy. They offer inside seating as well, however we did not really look into it!
A late night burger joint right right by Concordia University. The burger is a tasty smash burger with plenty of toppings. The decor is modern & clean. The staff is very friendly. There is even an outdoor terrace during the summertime. A nice place for a quick burger craving.
Return to Yuma Burger for an update & I must say it's was just if not better than my first visit two years ago!
They've added a self serve touch screen to place your order which was extremely user friendly. There's a screen in the seating area which tells you when your order # is ready.
This time I ordered the Yumi cheeseburger & it was very juicy & the flavour was outstanding! Establishment was clean & in the seating holds about 50.
The service is still top notch!

Yumi Burger is an absolute must-visit for burger lovers! The quality & presentation of their food are top-notch. The crispy chicken sandwich with creamy slaw is perfectly balanced, while the juicy beef burger with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, & fresh lettuce is packed with flavor. The loaded poutine, topped with rich gravy, cheese curds, & savory merguez, is the perfect indulgence. Every bite bursts with taste, & the attention to detail is clear. If you're looking for a delicious, satisfying meal, this spot is a winner!

I walked in & was a bit worried because no one was there except two gentlemen working the front. It was a Sunday afternoon though… anyways, I ordered a single cheese burger combo. It came with a small fry & can of pop. I asked if there were additional toppings I could put on it & was told no. He said it only came with lettuce & tomatoes. It also came with a spicy mayo, but I digress. I asked if I could get onions & he said yes. The night before there seemed to be a bunch of options you could add to your burger on SKIP….
The burger was freshly smashed on the grill & the toppings were fresh. Canadian cheddar cheese I believe as American Cheddar would impose a 25% tariff. The bun wasn't anything special but it did the trick. Crinkle cut fries. Prices were reasonable. It was a tasty burger, served quickly. Two packs of ketchup; I probably could have used another.
Only one other person was there when I was eating, so it wasn't very busy at all. Atmosphere was relaxed & the Football ⚽? game was playing on TV. I gave them 5 stars because there wasn't any reason to give them less than that.
I had a trio cheese burger double & I think taste wise, it's is a sold 3.5/5. When we're talking about presentation & the size of the burger I think it's a 3/5. Very clean & good spot for Muslim's to eat at with their families, 5/5. It's a good spot to quickly grab some lunch or dinner for you & your family but I think their quality could use some work as in using just a tad bit less grease. Definitely would eat again!!! i like the exotic drinks they had... 10/10
Really wanted to like this place. Was hoping that it could fill my Shake Shack void, alas it was not meant to be. The burger patty was fairly flavourful with a good amount of seasoning but it was way too oily. The grease kept on coming & made the bread pretty soggy. The edges on the patty were not crispy at all. The cheese fries was also a let down. The fries themselves were not bad but the cheese sauce was really off, tasted kind of powdery. Would recommend avoiding this & just getting the regular fries.
First time visiting Montreal to attend a conference. Staying at Sonder & these folks being pretty much next door, decided to try their burger. Got the simple cheese burger with jalapenos & onions. Juicy & tasty meat patty with a nice soft bun. Melt in your mouth. Regretted not getting a double. Might feel a bit low on portion size but worth it. Definitely recommend.

Grabbed a quick cheeseburger to go. Service was great but the burger left me wanting more, especially for the price! The patty was on the dry end, & I wish they added more lettuce & tomatoes to their burgers.
We ordered a double cheeseburger combo , the burger was really delicious & juicy & the fries were crispy. Their service is super fast & the staff is friendly . Highly recommended if you're craving a delicious smash burger.

Magnifique ! Des Burgers de folies, le pain la viande le cheese, ça passe tout seul c'est un scandale ahahah. Frites croustillantes, vrai sauce, poulet avec du goût, ça fait plaisir fort. Yumi au top, ça faisait longtemps que je cherchais une place comme ça pour des vrais cheatmeals ! Photo jointes du 1er round, j'ai dû recommander obligatoirement ahahah Awesome Burger, the buns, the steak, crazy good. Crispy fries, juicy chicken, will come back anytime for a great cheatmeal.
