Ye Olde Orchard Pub & Grill est décrit comme un pub de quartier chaleureux avec une ambiance cosy et une clientèle locale, offrant une atmosphère conviviale et une bonne sélection de bières ainsi que des plats de pub traditionnels comme fish and chips, calamar, burgers et soupe, avec des portions généreuses et des desserts, des serveurs sympathiques et un service rapide à midi, ce qui donne le sentiment d'un endroit où l'on peut passer un bon moment en bonne compagnie. Cependant les avis signalent aussi des points moins positifs: toilettes et propreté parfois à revoir, des temps d'attente et un service parfois inégal lors des soirées plus achalandées, des plats pas toujours servis chauds ou bien assaisonnés et des remarques sur l'absence de microbrasseries et un menu qui évolue peut affecter la satisfaction. Ye Olde Orchard is a Monkland Village staple for a reason. It's a classic Irish pub right in the heart of NDG with a great, easygoing vibe. It's always a reliable spot for a fun night out. Went on a Wednesday for trivia & hockey which made it a really lively atmosphere. Sat at the bar & had a burger & fries with a Guinness, & my boyfriend had the fish & chips. Great beer & solid pub food all around.
Service was friendly & welcoming, & it's the kind of place you can tell has lots of regulars. Just an easy, fun spot to hang out. We'll definitely be back 🍔🍻🏒

It is with profound disappointment that I submit this review. As a loyal patron of Orchard Pub & Grill on Monkland Avenue, we have consistently experienced high-quality cuisine. Our order frequency is bi-weekly to tri-weekly, typically including the Stout Braised Beef, consistently praised for its tender texture, generous portion size, & excellent accompanying sides. However, recent orders suggest a change in kitchen staff, as our consistent request to omit green onions & shallots has been overlooked, despite our clear & repeated order notes. The individual working on Sunday, June 1st, at approximately 7:00 PM, appears to be unfamiliar with established procedures & failed to review the order specifications. The attached photographs clearly show that the customer's instructions-no green onions & no shallots-were disregarded, resulting in a dish containing a significant quantity of fresh diced green onions.
This is something that's completely avoidable, & these are mistakes that should never happen because they are purely avoidable. It's mistakes like this that really hurt a restaurant amd their reputation.
Although I have always recommended this restaurant in the past.. unfortunately now all I can say is .. try at your own risk. 👎😞

I went here for a drink with my friend & it was one of the best experiences I've had on Monkland.
My friend & I have been to multiple places, Orchard by far the one I would recommend to have a drink & food at.
My server Chris gave great recommendations & amazing service.
If you want a good time on a sunny day, go to Orchard & ask for Chris

Great food! Beyond what you'd typically get in a pub - they have the best Buffalo wings I've had in either Montreal & Toronto!! I lived in Montreal for eight years & the Olde Orchard on Monkland felt like a home away from home! A cozy place to spend a cold winter night or catch an early Saturday morning soccer game.
Update: their menu has changed a lot over the past few years, as the inevitably do, sadly not for the better felt the quality has dropped off a bit...
The pub is my go to place to eat on Monkland. The food is great, atmosphere is wonderful but the best part is the staff. All of the servers are friendly & personable, they remember who I am when I come in, are funny, hold a conversation & are super respectful. I couldn't recommend this place enough.
I love this place, really good guiness, good food but a little pricy (thats how it is on monkland). I love the chicken wings & variety on the menu. I think there could be a little more irish music playing at the pub. When I enter I enjoy it but there could be room to have a better atmosphere & have it a bit more attractive than just being a simple pub. A little bit of drinking music would be cool 😊. But keep up the good work love this place, & excellent service.
Classic Monkland Village venue that's been serving pints & good grub for decades. Local watering hole feels but everyone's welcome, if you're in town for a visit & looking for ideas of where to go the OO is a great spot & the regulars will be happy to give you some ideas of other places to enjoy in the city.

First time ordering from this establishment. i am a retired european chef & Monkland Orchard is EASILY - 5 STARS 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. We ordered the Braised Beef & Fish & Chips thru UberEats, both were outstanding. The braised beef was hot, melt in mouth, no teeth needed tender &comes with a very nice gravy/sauce, mashed potatoes & seasonedveggies. The fish was perfectly deep fried, not too hard & not too soft, nice premium fish. We highly recommend Monkland Orchard without hesitation. Keep up the great work, it's definitely a hidden diamond in a city full of shiny gems.
This is a fixture of her Monkland village for a reason, it's awesome! This is the quintessential Irish Pub experience, in the heart of NDG. We have been going for years, & just returning again after a little while. The beers, food & service is fantastic, with the service being a high point. Kim greeted & served us with a radiant smile & great personally! This is the type of pub that regulars frequent, we will be back (again & again) for sure! The chicken soup was a délite, this time around. See ya soon!
Ma femme & moi étions allés un mardi. Le pub étaient plein. Une vrai ambiance de pub.
La pinte de Guiness parfaitement versée.. juste assez de mousse. Le service était long parce qu'il étaient en sous effectif. Par contre la nourriture laisse a désirer. Le fish & chip était sec. Les frites étaient était mal blanchies car elles étaient croustillantes... Crues... La cobb salade n'avait pas de vinaigrette du tout. Nous ne pouvions pas demander de rectifier la situation car les serveuses ne venaient jamais puisqu'elles étaient trop occupées!!
Allez y pour un verre mais pour la bouffe, il y d'autres restos sur la rue monkland!!
