Finally had a chance to try Yans Deli for dinner! & our entire family of 4 loved it so much. Our 2 & 6 year old chowed like champs with their chicken noodles soup (super hearty & rich), corn ribs (soooooo tasty), charcoaled grilled zucchini & fries (only carb we had)!
My husband & I both loved our charcoal grilled steaks, dare I say not a lot of restaurants do it well like them! Australian Wagyu & the prime rib! Delicious! We are in the meat business so it's always great to see people who are doing it right! Tasted very comforting & homey but better!
Excellent dessert: the key line Sunday. Massive perfect to share for the entire family.
I went there on a date with my partner, we both ordered steak with pastrami, but ended up not getting the pastrami, they explained they had none left so they made the steaks bigger. We were ok with that until we started eating the steak & realized it was completely raw. We told them & they said they're going to fix it, 5 minutes later they bring back the plate with everything warmer including the plate. We tried the steak again & it was still completely raw, turns out they just threw it in the oven for a couple of minutes & brought it back out. I just told them we don't want it anymore.
The servers were very nice & offered free dessert & to only pay for one of the meals but it definitely did not make up for the fact that we never got to eat our main course.
Hidden gem in Montreal. The steaks were honestly some of the best we've had - perfectly cooked, flavorful, & served sizzling hot. The pastrami was fresh & packed with flavor, & you can tell everything is made with real care & attention.
The atmosphere is casual & welcoming, but the food feels upscale without being pretentious. Service was friendly, attentive, & made us feel right at home.
If you're looking for a spot that combines authentic deli comfort food with incredible steakhouse quality, Yans Deli is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be back.
Kept hearing people talk about Yans Deli & finally decided to try it for dinner. Honestly, everything was ridiculously good. The steak was juicy & full of flavor, the burger tasted homemade in the best way possible, & even the fries stood out.
The place itself isn't trying too hard - it's just good food done properly. You can tell there's real effort behind the menu & the quality of the ingredients. Service was super warm & welcoming too.
Definitely one of those spots you leave already planning your next visit. Looking forward to trying brunch next time!
I went in with an open mind to try this'bougie' Deli (that juxtaposes Bubby's latkes & expensive Wagyu steak)
Service for 2 took almost 30 minutes, the side of'fruit' that I was supposed to receive was a single slice of melon, the coffee is literally made in a commercial Nespresso machine (with the pods) & tasted awful, & the latke is closer to a cake than the latkes we're used to. You may like it, but I didn't. & the coffee is a dealbreaker for me.
Definitely cashing in on nostalgia here, but I doubt we'll be seeing many old-timers coming in as this faux'deli' caters to the Instagram generation instead.
The food is really incredible!! I highly recommend the sandwiches. The latke was also insane! Everything was better than I expected. Though the steak was quite expensive for what it was. Nevertheless, I would definitely come back.
An absolute amazing experience! From the friendly greeting, to the comfortable atmosphere, delicious food, everything was perfect. Even the music was great. This is better than any deli I've been to. For dinner, we tried a variety of dishes, including soup, steak, chicken & pastrami. You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to return!
Great food , Benji served up an authentic & delicious Jewish style brunch. The latke was HUGE , eggs & salami delicious , salmon plate decadent. Service was friendly. I very much enjoyed the dish-ware too.

-We ordered the chopped liver to start. It was a pate style chopped liver. It came with pickles , challah roles & a delicious everything bagel seasoned compound butter. Yum.
-for main I had the chicken noodle soup. Awesome ! Top tier matzo ball & kreplach (don't tell bubby)
-we ordered the steak frites which consisted of a specially prepared brisket & fries in a decadent mushroom sauce. Wonderful! & great sauces to go with the fries.
-we ordered the special of the day which was a latke sandwich of steak tartare , topped with a devilled egg & caviar??? Delicious innovative haute cuisine that we've never tasted before & loved.
-throw in the home made celery soda to drink & the very friendly & attentive service & you're in for a great experience.
