The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We had the butter paneer masala with garlic naan. The mango lassi was the best I have ever had & I still dream about it to this day. We also loved the chilli paneer. Such exotic flavours with just the right spice. Amazing owners too
The service was really good. The mango mojito we ordered made by Reet was great too. The malai paneer tikka was mazing too.
Must try!
We Desi is by far my most favourite vegetarian Indian restaurant in the Greater Montreal Area. I've been coming to the restaurant for the past 4 years & the quality of food & service has been consistently amazing. Our favourite thing to order is the Channa Baturas. The channa is fragrant with all aromatic spices but is not chilli hot & therefore a real delight to eat with the fluffy cloud like bhaturas (which were bigger than my head! ) The home made carrot pickle is divine. I would happily eat a bowl of it. The cooling yogurt served with this dish is the perfect end. It's one of the best I've eaten outside of India.
Another favourite is the Paneer Tikka sizzler. Chunks of char grilled paneer, bell peppers, onions & cabbage, served on a sizzler plate. It tastes so good.
We are big fans of the selection of their sweets as well. I love their jalebis, barfi & gulag jamun. A one stop shop when my heart is craving authentic Indian flavours.
Supporting family run restaurants, & fresh, authentic food from India is a win win in my book. The staff is very friendly & sweet, the restaurant is clean & welcoming. I can't stop thinking about the channa bhatura… maybe it's time to go back tonight
Excellent food & service . The Dahi puri , Raj kachori, Momo's , tandoori paneer tikka & paneer Patiala sabzi were amazing.
Food is really tasty!! Naans are the best. We usually go for naans. My kids love their chole bhature & naans with paneer curry!
It reminds tastes of India!
Finally we found an Indian restaurant that did not disappoint us in Montreal. Being vegetarians, we always struggled to find delicious food but WeDesi had many options for us… veg special platter was awesome! Paneer patiala & bread basket were equally delicious. Curries were a little less in quantity though!
I went there with my hubby & the entire
staff was so kind & welcoming, the food was mouthwatering like Malai paneer tikka, noodles, paneer kadahi & mojito it's just amazing. I usually order online but today for the first time I went there just love it
Almost all of the food we ordered was fantastic, especially the chilli paneer & Amritsari naan. The only let down was the salty lassi.
Overall amazing indian restaurant in west island. Great taste, Nice starters/quick snack items BUT gravy quantity is too less ex. Paneer Patiala - Again amazing taste , good idea of serving on papad BUT quantity is too less for the price you're paying.
The food at lunch paneer Tikki masala was amazing with chili panneer, & naan was delicious. Special mention to the lunch time server Arsh Deep, who carried a friendly smile throughout & took care of everyone by herself. Nice place for lunch!
Terrible service. After the starter, the waiter told us to keep the dirty spoon on the table instead of bringing a clean one-how is that even acceptable? & the paneer tikka was a complete waste. Be professional. Won't be coming back.
Excellent food, great service, & good prices. We ordered the palak paneer with rice & naan & the chow mein, I highly recommend. I would come again.
Authentic Indian taste! So far the Best naan & Paneer I have tried in West Island. The lady at the reception & owner are very welcoming! Definitely recommend !
Such a beautiful place & delicious food…i tried pani puri its my favourite best pani i ever have ❣?✨ paneer tikka was my sec fav food 💫💫❤? main course we have dal makhni & bhindi masala so so good best punjabi food place in montreal i loved it ❣? staff was friendly really satisfied food service worth it 🌸🌸
We ordered a bread basket with Malai Kofta & Paneer Pasanda. We requested the Paneer Pasanda to be made spicy, & I must say it was one of the most truly authentic curries I've tried in Montreal. Then we tried Malpuva Rabadi, Jalebi Rabdi, & Pistachio Kulfi. Jalebi Rabdi is a must-try item, & I believe they have sizzlers as well. So, if you are looking for a veg sizzler, then I highly recommend that you try the WeDesi Special Platter.
I had to change my food rating from 5 to 2. The quality of food is not as it was a 4-5 months ago. we are regular customers & have seen drastic downfall in food quality, whether its starters or main course. we ordered 25 samosas one day & all of them were burnt fried in hot oil almost black & dark brown, we had to throw them away, the other day we ordered paneer pakoras which were totally bland. We came for dine in today & had chholle bhature & amritsari kulcha, the bhaturas were fried in hot oil almost darl brown & choole had no spices, & the yogurt wal so slimey.. amritsari kulche had no salt no spices totally bland with same cholle & yogurt. Sorry but the quality has fallen down
It was our first visit & we loved it. Momos, noodle burger, garlic naan, laccha paratha, mango ice cream, kalimirch paneer, all good. We would definitely recommend it.
Amazing food, amazing staff. Very clean & hygienic, quick service & vegetarian friendly. Delicious dosas, garlic naan & paneer tikka.
Food was okish, taste was sweet for curry which is not acceptable. Tandoori momos where soft n blend in taste. Paneer tikka masala tasted sweet & just had 1 piece of green pepper & 1 piece of red pepper. Only things i liked where, ras malai, gulab jamun with rabdi n mango lassi
