Le restaurant végétarien indien WeDesi à Montréal propose un vaste menu, constamment savoureux, avec des plats phares comme le chana bhatura, le raj kachori, les dosas et les paneers, le tout entièrement végétarien et élaboré avec des ingrédients frais; les avis soulignent un service attentif, une ambiance chaleureuse et un bon rapport qualité prix, avec de nombreux clients qui reviennent encore et encore, même si certains trouvent la musique parfois trop forte et que les temps d'attente peuvent être longs aux heures d'affluence.
The naan was badly burnt-more black than golden-& tasted bitter. The salad didn't seem fresh at all, which just made the whole meal feel low quality. It's disappointing because this place used to be decent.
On top of that, prices have jumped from about $10 to $14, but the quality definitely hasn't improved-in fact, it feels worse.
Paying more for lower quality just doesn't sit right. Hope they fix this, because right now it's not worth it.

I must admit that the quality of the food is amazing
Portion wise is enough for 3-4 servings
Music too loud which makes it hard to enjoy food & converse with the people at your table.
Went back & food still remains best among all Indian vegetarian restaurants. Music was a little better this time, not too loud like last time which made it easier to talk with everyone at my table while enjoying the food. Service is always great here, nice & polite staff.
Had the pleasure of visiting this fine establishment this week. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We had the butter paneer masala with garlic naan. The mango lassi was the best I have ever had & I still dream about it to this day. We also loved the chilli paneer. Such exotic flavours with just the right spice. Amazing owners too
I ordered through Uber Eats & was very disappointed with the portion size. Charging $16 each for such a small amount of sabji is hard to justify & honestly felt overpriced. I expected much better quantity for the price paid. This was not good value, & the experience was disappointing.

Imagine ordering multiple dishes, not liking ONE, & being treated like you personally offended the entire restaurant. The waitresses & even the manager were visibly upset, & the cashier ended things by suggesting we take food'to go next time.' Message received loud & clear. Customer service needs serious work.
Best indian restaurant that did not disappoint us in Montreal. Being vegetarians, we always struggled to find delicious food but WeDesi had many options for us… veg special was great! Malai soya chaap & panner tikkaa
were equally delicious.
The food overall was fine but the staff is very irresponsible. I left my hand bag there & I called them to ask if they saw it & one of the staff told me they found it & I told them to keep for next week because I live far away from there & it was late at night. I called them again to let them know that my friend will pick the bag up & they said yeah that's fine. When my friend arrived there they didn't find the bag & when I asked them where was it they said that someone put it outside because they thought it was a'kid's' bag & when I asked for explanation they apologized & said they will check the camera & there are still no updates. The staff has no sincerity over consumer's request & well- being in their restaurant. Overall the whole situation shows how irresponsible the staff is.Honestly I was a regular customer but I would never go there ever again. In fact,I wouldn't recommend going to this restaurant,to my friends & family, because of the staff's attitude & behaviour.

Food is amazing. we ordered vada pav, mysore masala dosa & Chana bhatura. all different region cuisine still the taste was not compromised. It was very good. must try their Pomegranate Mojito. It is Mojito with Indian twist.! Special thanks to Reet.
The food here is absolutely amazing! It's a perfect spot for vegetarians.You can enjoy your meal without worrying about cross-contamination since everything is fully vegetarian. I've been coming here every weekend for the past month, & it's always a pleasure to return. The dishes are consistently delicious, & the staff are very attentive especially when you ask for no spice, they make sure to tailor everything to your taste. Highly recommend this place!
We Desi is by far my most favourite vegetarian Indian restaurant in the Greater Montreal Area. I've been coming to the restaurant for the past 4 years & the quality of food & service has been consistently amazing. Our favourite thing to order is the Channa Baturas. The channa is fragrant with all aromatic spices but is not chilli hot & therefore a real delight to eat with the fluffy cloud like bhaturas (which were bigger than my head! ) The home made carrot pickle is divine. I would happily eat a bowl of it. The cooling yogurt served with this dish is the perfect end. It's one of the best I've eaten outside of India.
Another favourite is the Paneer Tikka sizzler. Chunks of char grilled paneer, bell peppers, onions & cabbage, served on a sizzler plate. It tastes so good.
We are big fans of the selection of their sweets as well. I love their jalebis, barfi & gulag jamun. A one stop shop when my heart is craving authentic Indian flavours.
Supporting family run restaurants, & fresh, authentic food from India is a win win in my book. The staff is very friendly & sweet, the restaurant is clean & welcoming. I can't stop thinking about the channa bhatura… maybe it's time to go back tonight
