Food is amazing. we ordered vada pav, mysore masala dosa & Chana bhatura. all different region cuisine still the taste was not compromised. It was very good. must try their Pomegranate Mojito. It is Mojito with Indian twist.! Special thanks to Reet.

We Desi is by far my most favourite vegetarian Indian restaurant in the Greater Montreal Area. I've been coming to the restaurant for the past 4 years & the quality of food & service has been consistently amazing. Our favourite thing to order is the Channa Baturas. The channa is fragrant with all aromatic spices but is not chilli hot & therefore a real delight to eat with the fluffy cloud like bhaturas (which were bigger than my head! ) The home made carrot pickle is divine. I would happily eat a bowl of it. The cooling yogurt served with this dish is the perfect end. It's one of the best I've eaten outside of India.
Another favourite is the Paneer Tikka sizzler. Chunks of char grilled paneer, bell peppers, onions & cabbage, served on a sizzler plate. It tastes so good.
We are big fans of the selection of their sweets as well. I love their jalebis, barfi & gulag jamun. A one stop shop when my heart is craving authentic Indian flavours.
Supporting family run restaurants, & fresh, authentic food from India is a win win in my book. The staff is very friendly & sweet, the restaurant is clean & welcoming. I can't stop thinking about the channa bhatura… maybe it's time to go back tonight

Great spot for fresh Indian snacks! I ordered the samosas & veggie pakora & both were super fresh & perfectly crunchy. The chutney had a nice spicy kick that made everything even better. The restaurant was very clean & the staff were friendly & welcoming. If you're looking for great samosas, pakoras, & authentic snacks, this is definitely a place to check out. It will for sure be my go-to spot for snacks & sweets!

Amazing Indian restaurant! I went for lunch & ordered the vegetable thali, & it was absolutely delicious-so flavorful & satisfying. I also love that the entire restaurant is vegetarian, which makes it such a great spot for anyone looking for amazing meat-free Indian food.

The prices are very reasonable too. One tip: if you're ordering takeout, call ahead because the wait can get pretty long if you just show up. But honestly, it's totally worth it. I'll definitely be back!

Finally we found an Indian restaurant that did not disappoint us in Montreal. Being vegetarians, we always struggled to find delicious food but WeDesi had many options for us… veg special platter was awesome! Paneer patiala & bread basket were equally delicious. Curries were a little less in quantity though!

My husband & I come here often for supper or for some sweet treats. As Avid foodies who have eaten at multiple different Indian restaurants, this one is by far our favourite in Montreal! Fantastic flavours, quality food, generous portions that are beautifully presented. Not to mention, great prices. We love this place, it's definitely a hidden gem in the West Island!

Edit: I have noticed some fake reviews recently posted to bring the rating down for this restaurant. Some of them have even left double quotes in their reviews which clearly tells that they just posted fake reviews.

We have been going to this restaurant from past couple of years, & the two main reasons are delicious food & friendly staff. You will always find same staff which is unusual in most Indian restaurants.

Please don't be distracted by fake reviews & give this restaurant a chance, you will be pleased.

*This is not a paid review but my genuine experience of year's dining at this restaurant.

Original review:
Don't miss out to try this Indian place, food is really good. I am listing the items we tried along with tiny recommendations for the chef :)
1. Vada pav- I would rate this slightly above average, Bhandari wins for vada pav for me. The star ingredient of vada pav is fresh curry leaves, please add them & you will see the magical transformation in your recipe.
2. Raj Kachori- Must try!! I haven't experienced the Indian taste of Raj Kachori in Montreal in years but chef has nailed Raj Kachori. It had moong, anaar, perfect balance of green chutney, red chutney & curd. Red chutney is a game changer!!
3. Amritsari Kulcha - The preparation is really good, cripy & garlicy, I would like more channa & more flavour in potato filling. A home made seasoning with spices in filling will elevate this dish to another level.
4. Moong dal halwa- Must Try!! Best in Montreal!!

We will be visiting again to try more dishes!!

The tooti frooti sundae brings back real Indian vibes-rich, fruity & perfectly balanced. Loved the touch of candied tutti-frutti & the wafer stick for crunch. Great presentation & super tasty!

✨ A Flavorful Escape at We Desi
If you're craving an authentic North Indian culinary experience in Montreal, We Desi is a gem that deserves a spotlight.

🌟 Ambience
From the moment you walk in, the ambience strikes the perfect chord-cozy yet festive, with colorful accents & a welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger. Whether you're on a casual dinner date or catching up with friends, the space feels thoughtfully curated for comfort & charm.

🚗 Easy Parking
Major bonus: parking is a breeze. In a city where hunting for a spot can make or break your mood, We Desi's hassle-free parking is a breath of fresh air.

🌶? Chaat & North Indian Classics
The chaat selection is lively & packed with flavor-crispy, tangy, & perfectly spiced. The North Indian mains are equally impressive, with rich gravies, pillowy naan, & aromas that transport you straight to Delhi's bustling streets.

🥇 Raj Kachori: A Must-Try
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: Raj Kachori. It's hands down my favorite-& easily one of the best in Montreal. A burst of textures & tastes, it's a riot of flavors that somehow still feels balanced & indulgent. If you haven't tried it yet, you're seriously missing out.

---

Whether you're a longtime lover of Indian cuisine or simply chaat-curious, We Desi is absolutely worth the visit.
