It was our first visit & we loved it. Momos, noodle burger, garlic naan, laccha paratha, mango ice cream, kalimirch paneer, all good. We would definitely recommend it.
I am very happy to have found this restaurant so close to home! I have tried numerous Indian restaurants in the past few years & most have disappointed with bland & similar taste - lacking originality & probably using low quality, pre-made spice mixes (I say this because I have also tried to cook with those spices & noticed the similarity). WeDesi is a whole new experience! While I used to prefer non-vegetarian Indian food, I have now come to love the vegetarian dishes offered here & feel like I'm on a culinary journey every time I eat at this restaurant. I have tried numerous dishes & my absolute favorite are their curries! Every single one I've tried is well-balanced & bursting with original flavors! My best choices are the Palak Paneer & Dal Tadka. The Chole Bhature is also fantastic & tastes very fresh! Rasam was a fiery, flavorful & most unique experience, having never eaten that before & it had an instant positive effect on my whole body, one has to try to understand! Naan bread is very tasty & balanced. Paranthas are all delicious & each type offers unique flavors! My whole family, including kids, are crazy about this food. We are not Indian & for a 9 year old to eat so much of this new, spicy food & to ask for more, it means that it's really good! The sweets are out of this world! They use real ingredients & make them right! I have also tried other Indian sweets shops & really prefer the freshness & original flavors of the WeDesi ones! They do not skimp on quality. For example, I was eating Gulab Jamun & inside there were specks of real saffron. The first time I tried them, I asked for the young man's recommendation & he chose many delicious & different sweets that everyone enjoyed, even my mom who is conservative & not a fan of foreign cuisine! Inside the restaurant, the decor is modern, clean & authentic! Staff is friendly & attentionate. Sometimes they are very busy & wait times are long, but I don't mind, given the quality of the food. Everyone wants to eat there & it's understandable! Once there was an error & it was most generously corrected, apologies were offered. My only real complaint is that the prices are not updated on the website menu, which was a bit confusing at first & might deter new clients. All in all, I can honestly say that this is one of my top 3 restaurants to eat at. Congrats to the chef & to all the people working there!

WeDesi is a haven for vegetarian food lovers, offering an authentic taste of Indian cuisine. The menu boasts a wide range of flavourful dishes, from creamy paneer butter masala to the ever-popular dal makhani, all made with fresh ingredients & aromatic spices. The soft & buttery naan pair perfectly with rich curries, & their mixed vegetable biryani is a standout. The warm ambiance & attentive service complete the experience, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious Indian dishes.
Tried WeDesi for the first time last night & it was FANTASTIC!! The food was amazingly delicious & lots of food for the cost. My partner & I did 3 appetizers with one main course & two delicious naans. We had to take 1/2 the main dish & one of the naans home with us as we stuffed. We will definitely be coming back on a future visit to the Montreal area!!
Food was part of a work lunch at Wahi. We had naan bread with it & everything was delicious. It was a hearty meal. We had Paneer Butter Masala, Allo Gobhi & Dal Makhani. I really liked the fact that the paneer was soft almost like clouds. It complimented the butter masala really well. There was a salad on the side with a mint/coriander sauce which was fresh & a bit spicy. I will go back for sure with the family.
Update- we visited few times after & the food had improved. However, the dine in experience is not good at summer days, the inside temperature was around 30 C which is unsuitable for eating/enjoying spicy Indian food. The vel puri was good. veg kati roll & dosa were horrible, no spices, sauce . Other items like naan, kulcha, panner lacked flavor & taste. However, price is pretty good. I will not go back to this place.
